RIP: WILFRIED KNIGHT (1974-2013)
I’m not even going to talk about this right now. It makes me so mad. Following the suicide of his lover, Wilfried Knight has taken his own life.
I’ll let the (late) Wilfried Knight talk about it himself after the jump …
First i expect to be judged or put in the trash bag because i used to be a porn “star”, because generalization is now commonplace in this world, because no one ever reflects anymore, because reality shows have now taken over anything that once challenged our minds. But it is ok, i am not going to apologize for what i have been up to. Sex is only shameful if you want it to be. And my identity does not disgrace my partner’s. He was his own man and in no way should be judged for who he was dating. In any relationship we still stay who we are, individually. And he was as respectable as one can be. And as for myself, i am not druggy, no drunk. Those ready to stereotype me can consult those who know me personally: i am happier hiking or climbing than in any party, and FYI, i have never attended any circuit party. If all men travelling for circuit parties would travel down to every capital city in the world together, gay marriage would already be widespread, just sayin..
Yes i was a porn star, but it always had been a hobby. In the meantime, i also graduated in law, in chinese medicine, in personal training. I have always achieved academically, and always assumed my choices. I will not apologize. I do not see how having sex on screen is less socially acceptable than being a corporate banker regularly backstabbing anyone on his way in order to get richer. To be honest, if what i did bothers anyone, well, no one ever forces anyone to watch, right?
And yes, a porn “star” (still laughing at the term itself) can fall in love, can be in a relationship, and no one but the two people involved, has the right to judge. What people do together in bed or not stay their business.
More tomorrow …

umm.. have you considered opening an alternate blog to deal with the more serious/sad news in the business? It seems out of place to read about this with banners and stories flashing man-parts on every side.

I cant believe this is this for real, ;-( if he really kill him self I cant imagine this he was from all the models I got to know in the industry he was one of the most sweet guys and down to earth this is really sad new for me .

Pascal.

We’re only halfway through March and this is already death number what? 3, 4?. I’ve lost count already. And the saddest part is most of them are suicides. Extremely good-looking, fairly young men willingly putting an end to their lives. What IS the problem??. I don’t buy that ‘it’s the haters’ fault’ bullshit. Either the industry screws these people up, or they are phenomenally messed up people to begin with. Or both.
Antonio biaggi March 13th, 2013 at 5:33 AM
Andre the industry and crazy people put models down but some of the models are people with many baggage in there lifes but not all models are like that

Why is this becoming such a concerning issue all of a sudden? All of the issues surrounding the background of porn, the industry and its performers, are not new. Substance abuse, esteem issues, past sexual abuse…these are cliches about the world of porn by now. These cliches are very unfortunate and laden with sexphobic judegment and thinly veiled self loathing, but unfortunately, not new. What has been happening in the past few year that all these “stars” of the gay world are killing themselves? Its kinda crazy

Another suicide?! This is crazy… :S

I don’t get it. How could he work in porn in the US all those years if he was in the country on a student visa?. And if he was here on a work visa, why didn’t they just renew it?. I’ve seen many big-name porn entrepreneurs getting on the ‘blame the fans’ wagon, if they care so much about their industry’s workers, why didn’t anyone step up and offer to sponsor him?(I’m looking at you Lucas).
