A Little #BundyEroticFanFic Between Friends

The name Lavoy Finnicum sounds a character who is one of long-lost Bodine clan from the Beverly Hillbillies. Or maybe a love rival of Daisy May in ‘Lil Abner. In reality, Lavoy Finnicum describes himself on twitter (that sound you heard was my jaw hitting the floor that Pappy Yokum knows enough words to constitute 140 characters) as a, “Rancher, Loves Freedom and willing to fight and die defending it.” He is part of the Ammon Bundy militia holed up in an Arizona wildlife refuge to protest “tyrannical governmental overreach.” Lavoy Finnicum is also known as #Tarpman. The hashtag #BundyEroticFanFic was created on Tuesday by Colin Meloy, frontman of the Portland-based rock band The Decemberists. Aspiring erotic-fiction writers are imagining steamy scenes between militia members and sharing their fan fiction under the hashtag ever since in an online mash-up of the Palin Clan guest-starring with Peggy Bundy’s for a new online telling of When Brokeback Mountain Went to Pettycoat Junction.
