Stilettos for Shanghai for Chechnya

In 2014, our own Sister Roma and an international contingent of Sisters went to Shanghai Pride. And now, they’re letting their stilettos do the talking. And the fundraising.

Sister Roma, filmmaker Monet Allard, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and NakedSword are teaming together for an amazing event, Stilettos for Shanghai for Chechnya, where 100% of net proceeds to going to two organizations dedicated to LGBTQ refuge and asylum, Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration: ORAM and Rainbow Railroad.

In 2014 an international contingent of Sisters went to Shanghai Pride. The entire trip was documented by Monet and turned into a documentary called “Stilettos for Shanghai”. The movie makes it’s US debut on Monday, August 7 at the Castro Theatre.

After hearing the tragic reports of persecution, torture, and murder of LGBTQ people in Chechnya Russia, Monet and Sister Roma decided to turn their movie premiere into a fundraiser.
