National Advocacy Group for Rent Boys Founded
The Rentboy raid has fallen from the headlines as the case begins to work its way through the judicial system but how it effects the lives those arrested has ratcheted up. str8upgayporn is reporting that five of the seven defendants are currently seeking plea deals.

Norm Kent & mr. Pam
“Our website will organize base of rent boys and their allies fostering a global coalition speaking out on their behalf. To paraphrase a recent presidential candidate, the response to our endeavor has been huge. Huge!” ~Norm Kent
Along with Kent, the initial incorporators include an internationally known rent boy, who is now a law student at Hastings School of Law in San Francisco, and our own mr. Pam, director of NakedSword Originals, who has spoken out frequently on behalf of sex workers.

Stephan Ferris & Howard Andrew
“The Department of Homeland Security has initiated a questionable legal action which has terrorized thousands of men who were lawfully trading their time and companionship for legitimate compensation,” Kent said. “There is a need for these men to have a collective voice and open forum to speak out against the raid and for their rights.”

According to an article at vice.com, rentboy.com got The Department of Homeland Security’s attention when rentboy.com applied for some kind of immigration request for one of its employees – Homeland Security having jurisdiction to review immigration applications.
Applying for federal tax exempt status for an org with “rent boy” in it name seems like it would attract a lot of “Scrutiny”.

Thank you, Peter. I am still scratching my head over that … most corporations have a pretty generic sounding parent company name in any industry – especially in porn. This was the wrong time and the wrong company not to have one – especially when dealing with the INS and the increased profile anything to do with immigration lately. #SMH

The company that published rentboy.com didn’t even use “rent boy” in its own name. The trademark on rentboy.com identifies the owner as “Easy Rent Systems, Inc”.
