Tom Katt was born David Papaleo in Atlanta, GA. He was a troubled kid from a troubled home. His childhood was a real life Jerry Springer Show. At 16, he discovered body building to help overcome the insecurities about his height, he stands just 5’6″, and as therapy for his traumatic childhood. He was pursing a career in professional body building when at age 21, he was approached to do some “physique modeling,” a code name for porn. He officially rechristened himself Tom Katt, adding Thom Katt, Tom Kat, Thom Payne, Thomas Payne, and Tom Payne as stage names throughout his career.

Long before Zeb Atlas, Tom was one of the original “Bigorexic’s” and was romantically for a time to fellow bigorexic, Ceasar. While he worked for many studios, he is often associated with Falcon’s Full Length in addition to appearing with Ryan Idol in Idol Thoughts and the muscle fest Leather Obsession and Grand Slam with Max Grand. However it was when he was working with Ken Ryker in Ryker’s Web that he fell into Ken’s web. Along with the Rockland brothers, Ken Ryker was Tom’s connection to a new life of Christianity. In 2005, he successfully returned to bodybuilding as a drug-free competitor under his real name, one he later gave his new wife. Mr. & Mrs. Papaleo reside in Florida where, “he remains supportive of the gay community and continues to study the Bible.” All righty then.
