Does A Condom Kill A Scene For You?

All things being equal, many would opt for Wesley Woods fucking bare yesterday. But today, all things aren’t equal. Is a condom still your deal breaker?

Looking at Johnny V and Wesley Woods in “On The Market” today from Hot House V. Wesley and Markie More yesterday from NextDoorRaw, I think the studio, the director, and the story impacted the finished product a lot more than a piece of latex. What say you?

The story: We can fast forward through the set up. But the actors can’t do the same through filming them. Running even a few lines can take a while. Yesterday, the insipid story line at NextDoorRaw took up over 11 minutes of screen time before we saw any skin. By the time the had that much dialogue in can, the models were as over it as we were

By comparison, at the same point today, Johnny V had already played sword swallower for Wesley and it was Wesley’s turn.

The director: Rocco Fallon at NextDoorRaw think he’s a storyteller first. He is. I just don’t like the stories. Or how he tells them. Tony Dimarco at Falcon Studios Group understands the plot is to frame the action. Not the other way around.

The studio: NextDoorRaw has bad music, and too often lousy pictures, harsh lighting, and camera work that is hit and miss. “On The Market” is on point in those areas. If this is indicative of what we’re going to see from Hot House in the future, bring it on.

Did Wesley get creampied and give himself a taste test yesterday? Yes. Was it worth an hour to get there? Hardly. In less than half the time, Johnny V gets his own mouthful today.

quiet the opposite for me, bareback scenes kill it for me. with bb scene all i think about is transmitting a disease, any number of them really, but especially getting hiv. i never understood what the big deal is about using a condom. even if a guy is on prep the rule with prep is to still use a condom, these porn guys put all their faith in these studio tests when all is needed is a 24 hr window between a neg test, a guy doing something unsafe right after the test, then shooting the next day…stupid

I’m with Johnn. It’s wild to me how you guys framed the question. Not “Do condoms scenes turn you on?” but “Do they kill it for you?” And you probably don’t even see your use of the word ‘kill’ in there. It’s so leading! It’s as if so many think that with prep all is super and grand and that, oh, you can’t catch EVERYTHING ELSE. Okay, sure, you’re a porn blog, but seriously – you guys are smart and you know that the trend for so much bareback porn is just not smart. We all know it. It’s time to have a safer sex/condom section and a bareback section. Bareback is like bad DC/Marvel movies – they aren’t going away, but a choice is appreciated. The minute I see a bareback movie I turn it off and look for the rubber.

Yes, because I watch porn for what it is made for, entertaining not educating. Watching condom porn is just not as “entertaining” as bareback, where you know they are enjoying it more because they can feel every sensation, rather than having it dulled by a rubber.

really how much could it be dulled down with a condom? given the potential fatal risks involved (not only hiv but hepatitis, and a list of other serious diseases) it cant be worth the risk for a few moments of somethat feels a bit better to some people

Try as I might, I usually end up clicking something else once a condom steals the scene. And I’m SO done with the fear mongering, propaganda, and slut-shaming that proponents of barrier-only sex do in the comments section of every damned poll or article that comes within 500 feet of the subject. FACT: HIV negative men who adhere to the daily schedule of taking Truvada as a prophylaxis against the virus stand a less than 1% chance of contracting it from even the most virulently positive partner they could find.

FACT: HIV positive men who adhere to their prescribed antiretroviral therapies and have undetectable viral loads have been proven to be 0.099% likely to transmit their HIV to a partner via anally penetrative sex without barriers (infinitesimally higher or lower odds depending on whether the positive partner is the receptive or penetrative partner.)

Combine two (or more) sero-discordant partners, each of whom adhere to their prescribed daily regimen of prophylactic or antiretroviral medications present a risk so low it has an ever ongoing nine at the end of the immeasurable little fraction of a percentage point, meaning that while it cannot be said transmission under those circumstances is impossible, it is so unlikely as to be unlikely beyond any reasonable measure.

As for the valid argument that bareback sex, or “sex”, as it was commonly referred to in the pre-HIV era, the majority of STI’s making the rounds are treatable with a simple course of antibiotics, and those that are not are manageable via other therapies. It’s much easier to test actors for the clap, and there’s a lot less stigma attributed to being found guilty in the court of public opinion having hepatitis than with HIV.

Even if a person chooses a barrier-only sex life for themselves, what gives anyone the right to shame others who choose different means of protection against HIV infection or those, for that matter, who are positive and still dare to participate in scientifically proven safe sex without the use of latex condoms? What business is it of yours? Who died and made you the Acceptable Sex Authority?

Focus on your own version of what’s pleasurable and within your tolerance of risk once you take the time to educate yourself. And leave others to do the same without harassment just because you grew up being spoon-fed fear and hearing nothing but sound bytes from the Condoms-Only campaign against AIDS. Like Judge Judy is always trying to tell you fools, “God gave you one mouth and two ears for a reason. So shut up and listen every now and then.”

oh and i’m one of those guys that got one, hepatitis b, i’ll have it the rest of my life, check ups twice a year, blood work twice a year, ultra scans of my liver twice a year, i’m on an anti viral ironically the med i’m on Viread is suppossed to provide prep protection all my life i worried about hiv always using a condom i never bb even once in my life and i end up on an aids med anyway. oh then theres the mental fall out. getting an incurable chronic STI disease kinda can get you down a bit! i’m now terrified of having sex and havent had any since my diagnosis over 3 yrs ago. BUT hey since not wearing a condom FEELS SOOO GOOD it makes all this info from those web sites and what i experienced worth it …right?

If you bareback and get HIV, then that’s your problem, especially when you know a condom can fully protect you. You’re not being slut shamed. You can still be a slut when wearing protection. You’re just irresponsible if you fuck raw.

I’m old school and have bewn watching porn since the 1970s/80s, when bareback was just the way things were. It was not a sensation selling point and producers didn’t feel the need to make a movie like “1000 Load Johnny” That’s disgusting.

While a condom doesn’t kill the scene for me, no condom scenes do seem more entertaining to watch. Ibe noticed thst many men including professional porn models have difficulty keeping the penis hard when wearing a condom. Condoms kill a lot of sensation. And for many viewers it kills their mental sensation, which is understandable–kind if like those dreadful mosaics in Asian porn.

Our community is really stupid if it thinks prep takes care of everything. Always falling for the drug companie’s lies and gimmicks, just like they want you to.

I always wear condoms, based on the scary stuff not wearing one can allow people to contract. Who cares about HIV? Syphilis, gonorrhea, epidydmitis, chlamydia, etc aren’t fun to get either. A romp in the unprotected hay isn’t worth the risk to me.
