Widespread Cum in Eyes May Have Made Falcon Bareback Question Unclear

fleet-week-falcon-threeway-sailor.jpgJack’s post yesterday about Falcon’s not-quite-so-new policy of allowing oral cum shots ended causing more consternation than good. We spent the morning talking to directors who thought the decision meant that Falcon was going bareback, gay stars who thought they were going to have to choose between their version of safe sex and Falcon’s, and gay studio heads who either shared the Falcon policy or or contested it.

The trouble is, none of this is quite new. Lucas Entertainment and Gay studios like Raging Stallion have been allowing oral cum shots for awhile and Falcon International director (and former Bel Ami model) Tim Hamilton has been using them since European Holiday last year. As far back as Chris Steele’s Riding Hard, models have been eating their own cum.

Partly because of the marketing, which highlighted the cum shots, and partly because Falcon had used former exclusive Josh Weston — now a bareback star — the issues seemed to be getting conflated.
fleet-week-falcon-tj-rim.jpgSo I called Todd Montgomery, Falcon’s president, to try and straighten things out for TheSword.com. His response, in short, is that the Falcon brands — Falcon, Mustang and Jocks, are not going bareback, and that models aren’t asked to do anything new, but are welcome to take it in the mouth if they’re hungry. Of course, issues of safe sex, the gay side of the porn industry is anything but united.

I won’t bore you here with the sticky details, but those of you interested in seeing the contested images, and finding out how Montgomery and the studios responded to this are below.

I’m intrigued by how precisely Montgomery parsed out this statement:

“Falcon Studios isn’t doing bareback and our core brands will never be bareback…”

Does Falcon already own “non-core” bareback brands? Is Montgomery suggesting the possibility of such a stake in the future? Or, neither?

Sure, you can mentally masturbate, such as you’re doing, or you could address the state of things when a presumably gay industry lets performers risk their lives for the sake of greed.

Yes, these men are just that – men. They can make the decision whether or not to eat cum, do bareback, etc.;however, this trend suggests a worrisome sea change occurring in the gay community and could, in part, explain why new HIV infections are up among certain groups, chiefly the young.

But as long as you can feel clever on a porn blog none of that matters.

I’m not getting into some flame war with you because it’s apparent to me that you’re just some blowhard who likes to get into little bitchy electronic slap fights. That’s not something I’m interested in doing (the main reason for my anonymity) so please feel free to pass off some pointless little quips as dialog.

I should think this issue would take precedence over such things but maybe not.

Is the nature of this post equivalent to an electronic drive-by? Maybe. Is that unfair to you? Perhaps. But my getting into a tiresome tête-à-tête with some fool on a blog would be unfair to everyone else.

    Good-bye.

Its interesting how these companies try to blur the line of safe sex – oral cum shots are not safe never had been and never will be – yes less risky but not safe.

But it does make for good headlines in community to take a stand. You have to love these companies that say they won’t make bareback but continue to make money off the product.

There are very few companies that really do follow a strict safe-sex policy and yet they don’t get half the attention that these so called “safe-sex” self promoters get.

    Mike,
I hope some can truly be objective here. Falcon seems to be doing some back peddling. The facts: It was Falcon that put on their site “10 oral cum shots.” That NEVER has been a promotion of any Falcon release before. Fact 2, even prior to HIV/AIDS and condoms, Falcon never released an all oral cumshot video (going all the way back). Fact 3, bareback videos have cum shots on chests, face, and some oral but it is rare for all oral cum shots (even bareback videos). Fact 4, Josh Weston just released bareback videos (and a former exclusive to Falcon) Fact 5, yes a few studios have had some oral cum shots but they are rare and never promote the video around the oral cum shot.
So, the confusion does not come from this blog or others. Falcon was promoting the oral cum shots. This had never been done before. So it is a HUGE leap, especially with the re-hire of a major bareback star.
So, I dont think anyone is to blame about any confusion except Falcon. Of course controversy will always be the best promotion ever.
Of course the models can do what they want to do. But lets be real, oral cum shots are an extremely high risk behavior. I dont think anyone can say the Falcon release is safe sex.

What a crock of double talk and spin!
Chuck Holmes would be spinning in his grave if he knew what had become of this company. It’s sad to see a company that led the gay adult community for years abandon it’s principles and turn its back on their responsbility to the the gay community. And all for money…sad, sad, sad.

If you don’t like what they do. Don’t buy or rent it – then it won’t happen again. They are in it for the cash. Period.

What this really calls out to me is the lack of education/consensus about what safer sex really is. I’ve heard that oral cum shots actually are relatively low risk. Then I’ve heard that anal sex with a condom is safer than oral sex. Or that swallowing is safer than spitting if someone does cum in your mouth because your stomach acids will kill the virus but spitting puts the fluid onto fragile tissues.

Different experts have different conflicting opinions. The end result of all of this is a feeling of confusion and hopelessness. We need clear answers.

Falcon *is* trying to have things both ways (safe/unsafe) — that much is actually clear.

You are saying that it’s a “fact” that they put “10 oral cum shots” on their site , and yet I can’t find it anywhere on any of their sties or on any of the marketing material.

Furthermore, your claim seems dubious as there are a couple of non-oral cumshots in that movie.

Provide a link or retract your statement.

Yes I agree Falcon should come clean and say that they are hurt by the lagging sales and this is their effort to boost them. I am sure that there are many gay men who want to see the “pretty muscular” gay men of porn; particpate in high risk behaviors. It becomes an effort to judge and denounce even the most cherished. I mean look at Jeff Palmer, he is not even remembered for his Falcon Days.

What is all this talk about these performers having bareback sex as escorts: do you have names or just internet gossip?

Have gay men learned to “say” that they are against bareback porn but “do” watch and participate in the behavior? Not many gay men going to stand up and honestly say that they are having bareback sex; the rate of infection of HIV and other STDs are increasing so there must be something that is not adding up. What is going on?

What does it mean for the average gay man? You will have to decide what “fantasy” is and what is “real” for your life. Furthermore, you have many people that are not going to share their HIV status with a one night stand. Why take the risks with a stranger? Are drugs involved? Are gay men that trusting of one another? Each gay man will have to decide where to and how to draw the line for themselves.

It is porn afterall and we as a “gay community” have a much wider spectrum to learn behaviors from than just porn right?

That is proof that Falcon acknowledged they were promoting something dangerous. Thanks for pointing this out since I did not notice. The BIGGER truth is that the gay community has allowed porn to define their existence far too much and far too deeply. Now you have gay for pay, bare backing and other silly forms of porn. I do not care if you are gay or straight I just want to get off. I do care about bareback sex as there is NO reason for it on many levels for example:

Those gay men who are HIV+ and do not want to participate in a 100 Load Weekend or have bareback sex for the sake of it are swept up into the arena with those who do.

Gay men are 100% men and there are no buffers on sexuality and sex; YES there is a difference. So you continue to see straight men for gay men because money talks and after all it is a sex act not a way of life.

If we are to be defined by our sex life as a gay community we are entirely too limited. I continually ready about “he can’t be straight if he is having sex with a man”. Yes, he can be full of self-loathing for gays or just needing to pay off that student loan. It is really a shame that the gay community has launched and sustained far too many “straight men”.

In addition, these websites that promote “straight men are having gay sex” such as Sean Cody and countless others is pandering to the purse and nothing more. Should it be something more I am NOT sure of that but at least look at it for what it is grab your favorite lubricant and enjoy.

Spreading “there is no such thing as safe sex” only promotes unsafe behavior. Obviously you have HIV and because you have it you feel eveyone will get it.

Just because someone is watching does not change out behavior.

And yes, we are both negative. I have friends that are both positive and don’t use condoms. They suck. AND any of you who have had cum in your face, have had in your eyes and REALLY good way to get STD in the blood stream too.

Yes, you can get gonorrhea, syphilis and maybe even HPV, but those are not life threatening and life altering diseases. (Yes, Hep C is a issue as well and everyone should be tested for both HIV and Hep C)

The major issue is HIV transmission, so let’s stay focused on the real issue…HIV.

I don’t know that we want to go around saying “syphilis? gonorrhea? HPV? No problem.”

True, the bacterial stuff can be treated with antibiotics… but that relies on catching them early. Also, HPV isn’t curable, and it’s really no fun when you have to tell a potential partner that you’ve got it. (This is especially true for bi guys, because of the cervical cancer risk — they gotta tell any girl they’re gonna sleep with.)

HIV’s definitely the #1 issue, but not the only one!

People still die from all the STD you stupid fucks. Try going to the CDC’s website and reading about, since you all know so fucking much.

People are dying from Meningitis which according to commercial you can get from kissing someone or sharing a soda. So HIV is NOT the only thing out there. If you are going to really have a talk about STD you can’t just say let’s talk about this one.

Syphillis is STILL a MAJOR problem. Because is you got it you could develope major problems and sometime you don’t have symptoms, WHICH COULD KILL YOU!!

Let’s just get real here for a moment. There are only two ways to not get cum in your mouth.

    1. Not suck any cocks at all. Something we can all agree will never happen.

or 2 Start to give head with condoms on all the cocks you suck.

So, either you get use to the taste of rubber or stop sucking cocks. Neither one of these options sound like good choices for any of us.

My feeling is that bareback seems to apply to both the ass and the mouth. Because if you brush you teeth before you have someone’s cock in you mouth, you are at the same risk as having bareback anal sex.

But, that is just what I am talking about. There are varying degrees of risk of course, but you just can’t ignore the other ones because like they don’t matter.

They all matter and if you are going to be passionate about HIV then you should be just as passionate about all the STDs that are ravishing the gay community.

Right now, Syphilis infections are far out numbering new HIV infections and it does matter.
    All of it matters.

OK, so if we tell you to use a condom every single time for oral sex you’re going to laugh at us like we’re a big joke. However, if you want to reduce your risk for catching HIV and STDs, that’s what you need to do. Contrary to popular belief, you can catch HIV from giving blow jobs, not to mention STDs like herpes, syphilis, and gonorrhea, to name a few.

If you can’t wrap that Willy before you suck it, here are a few tips that can help reduce the risk of catching anything while smokin’ the fag pole.

Don’t brush or floss 4 hours before. Brushing and flossing cause small tears in the gums that make it easier for diseases to enter the body.

Try sucking the cock like you’re playing the harmonica, the key being to avoid the tip and the exchange of pre-cum or semen.

Avoid pointy foods: no Doritos, Cap’n Crunch, or anything else that will tear up your mouth for at least 4 hours before sucking.

Don’t take loads in your mouth, and stop at the first sign of pre-cum.

Can you get HIV from giving a rim job?

No. While it may be theoretically possible to get HIV from a rim job, most health experts believe this is safe sex in terms of HIV. Just so you know, there have been no cases reported of HIV transmission through oral-anal sex. Oral-anal sex can, however, transmit shigella, amoeba, giardia, hepatitis A and maybe even syphilis and gonorrhea.

Sucking dick without a condom is not safe. Eating ass without a dental dam is now safe. Cum in mouth or even pre-cum is not safe.
