The Death of “Gay For Pay”?
While the “Gay For Pay” moniker continues to pack ’em in (despite our endless grumbling), could its days finally be numbered? Earlier this month of course, we saw one of the biggest GFP hold outs — Zeb Atlas — dip his toe into the gay waters by mouth-fucking Jake Cruise.
Then last week, The Sword broke the news that Zeb Atlas was going to dive right head first and be topping Matthew Rush in an upcoming Falcon movie (ironically enough) about gay marriage.
Yesterday it was announced that another notorious GFP’er — Mike Roberts — would be bottoming for Jake Cruise. Mike’s topped a few times on-camera, and I’m a huge fan of his but … egad! If I had to predict the next domino to fall, my money would be on Cody Cummings, (molested by Roma here) who just signed to be an online exclusive with Hot House.
So is “Gay For Pay” over? Probably not. Surely gay porn stars will continue to “identify” as straight, but it pretty much leaves Johnny Castle and Mark Dalton as the last two big gay porn stars who haven’t actually had sex with men yet. Let’s hope that Dalton’s spending his time away rehearsing for his long-awaited bottoming debut in 2009.

It will be hot to see these upcoming movies, but why does Mike Roberts have to give it up to that old troll? No matter how hot the other guy is, does anyone really like seeing that old man have sex with anybody? I find it hard to believe that his website can pay him more than Falcon or another major studio. Gay for pay continues because gay men have exhausted themselves with fucking everything that moves in the community. If you have not slept with them; you know someone that has; you know all about it so it equals close to the same. Gay men are on the quest for straight men who will have sex with another guy because we have lost respect for our own kind. It is a real shame, you see it everywhere and in all the communities, there is more respect given to a straight actor than a gay one no matter if neither one has done anything positive or negative. The gay for pay emerged as gay men wanted to be more of a hunter and get the ever elusive gay man. Now with porn paying top dollar (whatever that is) for straight men to have sex with another guy it is the same scenario. It is close enough to the real thing that gays are basking in it and shelling out top dollars. Websites such as Sean Cody, Randy Blue and countless others are really disrespectful to the “gay community”. I mean come on it is just sex and the identity of someone based on an act is pretty darn lame when there is money involved. Sure you will have countless gays saying: he would not have done it if he were not gay. The truth is you may never know and that is frustrating for many people because they want this illusion of intimacy with a stranger and they do not have it with themselves or their closest friends or even their partner. It is a pit that can not be overcome once you fall into it.
The bigger truth is they are making money and you are not. It is porn no more no less, the internet has made this “important” and it is not. The internet has made things seem closer than they really are; they are not? Sure you can watch what they are doing what you do not know what they are really doing. Yeah I know every gay guy has a story about knowing someone who knows someone who had sex with that famous someone = lame.
In closing, it is a guy having sex with another guy. No rocket science, no big SAT exam, it is the lowest common denominator in the world so unzip, stroke and clean it up. Why elevate it?

The funny thing about G4P is that people believe the guys are 100% totally straight. They are not. I’ve had sex with about 15 guys who did amateur and professional gay porn as straight– some were gay, but most would be better catergorized as bisexual.
