Playgirl’s Ends Print Publication, But Gives Us Jake Wolfe To Tide Us Over
It’s not a bad trade, really. Playgirl announced it would suspend its print operations with the Jan/Feb 2009 issue to focus on the web. It may be the end of an era, but that’s not a particularly bad thing: they’ve been investing heavily in the web, and in a new gay-inclusive readership, for the better part of a year now: take a look at new Playgirl model Jake Wolfe. Like Victor Steele and Cory Koons before him, he’s part of a movement to evict the legion of oiled troubadours with the shoulder-length hair who dominated the magazine for so long.
I don’t think we’ll get much sweet talk from him, but I bet he could rip a bodice or two.
