Movies You Should See: “Pledgemaster The Hazing”
I wouldn’t be so bold to say you must watch Pledgemaster The Hazing just because I wrote the script (which I did, in fact, write). But it’s actually pretty good for a bunch of other reasons that have nothing to do with me. Not least of which is the cast, (again, which I had nothing to do with, but coincidentally ends up being like my dream cast): Nash Lawler, TJ Hawke, John Magnum, Cameron Marshall and … drum roll, please … Derrek Diamond, who gets hazed, covered in wax, slapped around, and then fucked silly by HRH Erik Rhodes.
Had I known that Double-D, my #1 dreamboat super-crush, was going to end up playing the part he ended up playing, well, let’s just say his ass wouldn’t have gotten off so easy. I love that “writing the script” of a porno movie is apparently now cause for celebration, praise & attention, even on a porno website. It’s like writing the dialogue in an Archie cartoon. Sure, it’s there, but that’s absolutely the least important/relevant part of why anyone remotely consumes it. And minutes later, no one even remembers that there was a script, let alone a plotline… even the “actors” (AKA slutty whores starring in the damn thing).
C’mon, Jackie – if it’s a purely self-congratulatory post, at least have the stones to admit it, and not couch it in a bunch of unerotic fetish jpgs, huh?

Pretty good for a recent Falcon release. Although my high expectations were let down a little. If you are being hazed in a gay porno, should you not be covered in cum instead of wax? Where is the creative thinking? Where is pushing the envelope to make this video a “must see.”
Good video but could have been so much better. I think TJ Hawke is sexy but someone needs to gag him. Do you notice that he says “fuck yeah” about 5,000 in every scene he is in. He has nothing sexy to say and just says “fuck yeah” over and over in a very weak voice. Not sexy and almost being forced and bored and not knowing what to say. One video he was in, his “fuck yeah’s” were so annoying that I just forwarded to the next scene. It almost sounds like a prank or a loop because he says it over and over like a skipping record.
I want a good director to weed this crap out.

Liked the last scene with Derrek & Eric, that was hot, but I think it was on the strength of the two models, Eric especially. The rest of the film is boring.

@Christine Marinoni, i think you just never watched a good dialog in porno before. I for instance melt in every Joe Gage esque – the build-up alone can make me cum and is usually hotter than the sex itself (which is pretty darn hot).

Falcon has been on a downhill slide for the past several years; John Bruno is no Steven Scarborough. This is another example of what I mean: mediocre script, poor acting, horrible set and lighting, miscasting, and most egregiously–poorly-captured cumshots. (An old lady could shoot more cum than Erik Rhodes.) Do not waste your time or money on this. Anything from Hothouse is far superior.

Erik is a deadwood.I never liked any of his films neither do I like him at all. Derek is cute though somehow his feel for gay-porn seems abysmal.And yes, the video sucks and for that matter anything from Falcon of late is just as shitty as the scripts,the sets and the castings.

Haters, Jack? No, I think honest criticism. Certainly no one begrudges the blogger – and a guy who has made a name in the industry – a bit of self promotion. But the hyperbole above sounds more like something out of a Falcon press release.
Admittedly, I havent seen this movie, but Falcon (and other studios – but that’s for another rant) has long since passed the point of adding much to the gay porn scene. So many of their recent releases have been so boringly similar that even the box art and titles seem interchangeable.
Maybe it isn’t their fault; the internet has sucked the creativity out of much of porn, although there certainly are a few exceptions. Your blog is always interesting in its diversity and knowledge in covering such things in the industry. I would think you would give your readers more credit than being “haters” in pointing out such a blatant piece of marketing.

Maybe there should be films which exclusively use only straight and “bi” (cough, cough) and then there should be films which only use openly gay models, and then never the twain shall meet.

Jack’s big on calling people “haters.” He deliberately posts Wolf Hudson items, knowing how polarizing he is (could it be to get hits and comments?), then writes, “Fuck the haters.”
I’m going to give a somewhat ridiculous, yet apt, anaology. On The View (god help us all) one day Elizabeth Hasseleck asked Joy Behar, “Why do you hate Carrie Prejean so much?” Joy replied, “I don’t hate her, I don’t know her. What I hate is the hyprocrisy.”
That’s what people don’t get. If you express dissent or criticism or an opinion that’s contrary to Jack’s, you’re labeled a hater. It’s childish and ridiculous. People don’t know you, they don’t know Erik Rhodes, they don’t know the people at Falcon, so I doubt you’d find many who say they “hate” any of the aforementioned. As long as you welcome comments on a topic as subjective as entertainment and porn, and as long as you post items about people like Wolf Hudson and Erik Rhodes (who, whether you like it or not, have given some people a reason not to like them) you are going to find all kinds of different viewpoints.
(And the same thing goes for the “troll” name-calling, etc. I don’t see anyone posting verifiable personal info here, one is just as anonymous as the next, so give it a rest.)

Falcon has been missing the mark. Pledgemaster The Hazing is nice to look at but not special. Rhodes can do so much better with another firm. He is wasted on Falcon. Rhodes and Diamond are hot, but the rest of the cast is just there.
