Jason Adonis: The Gay Porn Blog Interview

Jason Adonisgay porn star Jason Adonis: The mere mention of his name strikes lust in the hearts of millions. Given the relatively few movies he’s done, he’s managed to very quickly become “arguably the biggest gay porn star”. Rather than rest on his laurels, he’s been keeping rather busy lately. He checked into Wet Palms (and manages to cause quite a bit of trouble, natch). He just filmed a scene with Jason Ridge for Blue Blake’s upcoming and much-anticipated muscle-fest “Young Gods”. And if that’s not enough, he appears on this month’s (April 2005) cover of Jocks and Unzipped (where they proclaim him to own the best ass in gay porn). Oh! I almost forgot! He’s also writing a monthly column for Jason Curious now, too.

Jason Adonis: the GayPornBlog Interview

gay porn star Jason Adonis

Single/Taken?
Taken, but still allowed to have fun. LOL

Birthday/Astro sign?
8/28/79, Virgo, strangely it seems to fit me.

Do you currently have a day job?
Yes, I do. I do small home remodeling when time allows. It makes me feel good to see a finished project. Although, the money is not as rewarding as my other job.

Best way for fans to get in touch with you?
Through my website, www.jasonadonis.com

How did you come up with your porn name?
Someone told me at the beginning of my career that I resembled a Greek god, so it seemed to fit. And still does, I hope.

Why did you decide to become a porn star?

Well, it was supposed to be just for a little extra money at first. Then I spent a lot of time trying to hide from the industry. I just recently decided to embrace and enjoy the industry and become business minded.

Favorite porn scene (that you’re in)
I really enjoyed making the scene with Ethan Marc in Taking Flight. We were both really into each other and the sex was really hot!

gay porn star jason adonis taking flight

Favorite porn scene (that you’re not in)
Any scene where the people are actually into one another. I hate watching porn where the models look as if they would rather not touch each other, but spend their time screaming loudly to try and steal the scene. YUK!

Favorite non-porn sex scene:
Any sex scene with Brad Pitt. Yum!

Corniest line of dialogue you ever had to deliver?
This is easy, I did a movie called “Entourage” and all the lines were so corny. But the movie is still hot!

First porn you ever saw:
Wow, I don’t really remember, but I do remember trying to tune in the fuzzy channel on the cable box to see some action, when I was like 10. Always was and still am a little pervert.

What is your idea of happiness?
Making my own production, I want to be on the other end of production, but not for another company for myself.

What’s next for Jason Adonis?
I have recently taken a new approach. Getting more images and footage that belong to Jason Adonis … most of which will be displayed on my website

You are so right! Gay for pay all the way. I often wonder what him and his wife – er, I mean, soulmate – tell the parents at Christmas. LOL I heard he’s quitting porn at the end of this year. Him and Simon Rex are going to start a home improvement business or something.

Gay for Pay is a lie. These guys are bisexual and can’t deal with that fact. So they justify and satisfy their urges by telling themselves that they are only doing it for the pay.

Truly straight guys would never have sex with another man and no amount of green would change that. There are tons of other professions out there that would pay the same dough. Hell, all of them could sell dope and make a ton more money and probably work less hours.

No straight guy would ever suddenly decide to describe himself as “gay for pay.” They are obviously coached or told to describe themselves that way. There are plenty of bisexual guys who are married or maybe have 95 percent of their relationships with women and maybe every once in a while have sex with a guy.

According to interviews and such Jason says himself he’s bi and freely admits to being interested in certain guys. He finds it funny that the industry conisders him “gay for pay” and that lots of his fans get off on him supposedly being straight.

There was an article in Details a few years ago about “gay for pay” porn actors. When a straight guy becomes famous in the world of gay porn, they are told to say they are bisexual in order to keep the fan base interested. The big star at the time of the article used as an example was Caesar, who was living with his girlfriend but was told by people in the porn industry to say that he also had a live-in boyfriend there too, and the boyfriend really didn’t exist. Sounds like they’re telling Jason Adonis to say the same things. On that gay culture thingy VH-1 did a year and a half ago they had a clip of Jason at the Virgin Megastore DVD release signing here in NYC in the segment of the broadcast where they talked about “gay for pay” and straight guys doing gay porn. They mentioned how a lot of straight women watch his gay porn films, and they had a quick sound bite from him (using his real name, not Jason Adonis!) and he said that his girlfriend wanted to see his gay porn movies but he wouldn’t let her. If he was really bisexual, do you think he would care if his girlfriend watched his films?

While it’s not a career goal people usually strive for, if you play the game well there is money to be made in porn. Straight guys who do gay porn exclusively as tops and build up a large fan base can make a nice chunk of change for taking it in the brown eye on film just once. Those are the titles that will sell, because people want to see their favorite gay for pay tops be a bottom that one time. Doing gay porn is also preferable to dealing drugs for these guys not for the initial money made for doing a scene, but for the potential to move into other branches where the real money is. If you become a recognizable name in gay porn, the money you can make by doing “dancing” tours isn’t bad, and all you are contracted to do is dance in front of a bunch of gay guys with money to burn. “Straight” dance tours like Chippendales don’t pay as much. The added bonus is you can let a bunch of old guys with a little cash blow you for $500 a pop and never have to touch them. That’s a lot easier than selling drugs, where you have to constantly risk jail time and getting cut by rival dealers. And it takes a little bit of exhibitionism as well. You can tell the straight guys at the gym I go to love the attention of people (anyone, male or female) looking at their bodies. I’m an exhibitionist, too, in slightly different ways, but I would never do porn.

    labels! labels! labels!

Why can’t people just be sexual without having to put a label on everyone. Sexuality is your own personal definition – what you feel inside rather than who you have sex with. You can be totally ‘straight’ and have sex with guys. Everyone is able to have sex with everyone – regardless of gender. Let’s all just fuck and forget these labels.

Jason Adonis is totally HOT and totally sweet. I admire him for sharing his good looks and sexual talents with everyone. He’s too good looking to do straight porn anyway – and they rarely wear condoms, so good for him for being safe, making money at what he’s good at. Big applause to his girlfriend for being supportive of his career and passions. She’s super cool too!!!

    heart you jason!

“When a straight guy becomes famous in the world of gay porn, they are told to say they are bisexual in order to keep the fan base interested.”

Bullcrap — that’s totally made up. Most gay guys want to buy into the fact that said pornstar is really straight. It fufills a fantasy that they might be able to get their straight neighbor to have sex with them. Unless you are high school or college age and just experimenting one time, you can’t really describe yourself as straight.

“If he was really bisexual, do you think he would care if his girlfriend watched his films?”

Not all women are into porn. I’m sure his girlfriend already knows that he has relationships with men on the side, probably with her permission.

“Straight guys who do gay porn exclusively as tops and build up a large fan base can make a nice chunk of change for taking it in the brown eye on film just once.”

The amount of money you make doing gay porn isn’t that much. Cameron Sage, another supposedly Gay For Pay, told me he makes 35,000 off gay porn and escort work. He still had a daytime gig as a telephone repair tech. So the money is alright, but not enough for a straight guy to really dive in. Thus, they are all bisexual cause straight guys do not have sex with members of the same sex.

“Doing gay porn is also preferable to dealing drugs for these guys not for the initial money made for doing a scene, but for the potential to move into other branches where the real money is. ”

Most porn stars prostitute on the side. The films are just advertising to raise their rates. Prostitution is illegal. Dealing a drug doesn’t require you to do something that you are hardwired against doing if you are supposedly straight.

    “labels! labels! labels!”

    The mantra of the closeted.

“Sexuality is your own personal definition – what you feel inside rather than who you have sex with. ”

Okay, I’m actually straight, but have sex with men only. How’s that for a defination? Sexuality is not your own personal defination. If you think that, please go see a psychologist.

The other thing about these silly labels argument is that they feed into the arguments of the religious right — that all gay people could just choose to be straight and therefore they are not in need of any laws protecting them. I bet you if you surveyed who these “gay for pay” porn stars or these “labels, labels, labels” closet cases voted for, you would find that they vote for the most homophobic candidate. It’s all about self hatred.

When Jason was working for studios he was identified as “straight, gay for pay, etc.” Now that he’s running his own career and starting his own production company he’s saying he’s bi. So it sounds like the exact opposite from what you said in this case.

P.S. Jason hasn’t bottomed on film yet but says he’ll do it when the right opportunity comes up. Possibly once he’s producing his own videos.

In my personal opinion it does matter whether or not you are gay, straight, or bisexual. These sexual defintions help define a person’s sexuality.

You have be one or the other you can’t be both in my opinion, you can’t be straight man and sleeping with other men,if that is the case your bisexual sweety, wake up and smell the coffee.

I also think that it is a disgrace and insult to the gay community and real gay men in general, for guys like Jason Adonis who claim to be straight but yet, still have sex with other men, and partcipate in the gay porn industry. I am a person who does buy porn sometimes and to me it is deceitful from the industry using gay for pay guys in their videos. If I wanted to see straight porn I would have bought straight porn. I am a gay man, and I don’t have fantansy about having sex with a straight men, I want someone who wants me and only me, and to me a straight man could never be that guy.

I think the guys who partcipae in this abrupt self denial, should check themselves, and also any woman who is willing to be with a guy in my opinion so much in self denial is, a slut, and tramp. Real women want real men, and any man who is having sex with another man is not a man that should be with a woman in a relationship. Unless, you that man can choose and be loyal and true with one. You can’t be with both man and woman at the same time, that in itself is disgusting. If you are a man having sex with other men you are bisexual, point blank, you are sure as hell not straight.

I also have a question why don’t these so call gay for pay dudes, do straight porn, I am sure they will get paid just as much as real gay porn stars.

Also if any gay men out there reading this, don’t be stupid and let these, so call straight guys use you for your money, I support full real life gay porn, not so called gay for pay, by them having to lie about there own sexuality proves that they do not take pride in the gay culture, I take pride in the gay culture and life. I believe it is not a choice, or preference, but it is exactly who a person is. nothin more or less.

He was one of the biggest homophobic jerks and gay hater there was. One by my best friends at the time was a gay guy, and Jason or Nick or whatever you want to call him tried to make his life a living hell. It burns my ass to see such a hypocrite making money off of something he persecuted so adamently.

I do agree with that Chad guy. Straight porn is always opened and searching for guys, especially guys who look as good as Jason Adonis does. I do find it somewhat annoying, because it’s just false advertisement. I want to see men who are going to enjoy having sex with other men, not some guy who’s going to be a robot on film so he could get more fans. And it’s definitely total bullshit that these guys are completely straight.

A lot of gay/bi guys were completely homophobic and evil to anyone who was openly gay. Especially during teenage years. They do it to cover up their own gayness and sometimes resent the open guy because they’re attracted to him. And whether the homophobe is a closted gay or not, that kind of behavior should be blamed on society (and especially the parents) not the teenager. A lot of the time if a guy is even slightly nice to someone who’s thought to be gay he’ll be hated along with them. Once they grow up to adulthood there’s no excuse for it though.

1)first of all,it’s not a matter of how one defines themselves, that is a personal choice. I am straight and attracted to and truly enjoy sex with men and women. 2)my beef is that with these certain type of queens who say that the guys doing the porn are just “acting” and they are not truly enjoying sex with men but they are just getting paid for it… BULLSHIT. They are NOT acting… acting is two men using fake dicks with fake hardons to fuck eachother and use fake cum to shoot their loads. this is the REAL thing, they are using their REAL erections to fuck and suck and shoot their loads of REAL cum in and on eachother, using REAL tongues to eat eachother’s assholes out, and sucking REAL cocks and swallowing REAL loads and taking REAL cock and REAL loads up their REAL ass while they shoot their REAL loads up a guys REAL asshole and the guy getting fucked is REALLY cumming from having a REAL cock up his ass . how the hell is that “acting”??? its the REAL thing so wake up to reality.regardless if they are getting paid for it, any person in their right mind knows that granted, we are straight but we are definately enjoying very much what we are doing with other guys :) and finally, 3) Real bisexual men can’t come out because they would be pegged as “really” gay all along and in denial, but when a straight guy says hes into guys he’s a closet bisexual. so which is it gay men? maybe if people accepted “straight” guys for who we really are i.e. REAL bisexuals, then we’d come out of the closet too. atleast if we identify as straight you will see us for who we really are (bisexual) albeit closeted ones.

I am really disappointed in some of what my colleagues have to say here. I know that sexuality is a very complex thing with a wide spectrum, but i think what is important is that one admits that they are turned on by male intimacy, the male physique or the whole idea of intimate male bonding to some extent, wether exclusively or not. When someone says they are straight to me their are making clear that they have no attraction to males whatsoever, nor or they turned on by the male intimacy whatsoever. So (and this goes out particularly to straight man) to say your straight male but like the idea of male intimacy is an oxymoron, call yourself bisexual, bicurios, holesexual, sexual liberal or whateva, but dont say your straight, for it suggest that u are in denial or ashamed of the side of you that is turned on by another male. You say that “queens” (which i found to be a rather durogutory coming from someone who enjoys male intimacy) should realise straight really means closeted bisexual, my response to that is go up any straight man (e.g. a rush limbaugh and ask him if he feels if that is so and he would say no way in hell). People need to come to realization that you can admit to being somewhat attracted to the same sex without giving up any of: who u are, your masculinity or “normalcy”. why is it you cant leave it at the fact that u are attracted to men (as well women) without having to put in but i’m straight; when u do that is like saying u feel there is something wrong and shameful with male intimacy even though its something u enjoy. labels shouldn’t matter, but being comfortable with who u are sexually (bisexual, curios, wateva) is, conceding that u have some level of same gender attraction, but backing it up with the term i’m straight says to me that u are insecure about your sexuality and are ashamed of ur sexual diversity. Peace.

People say that no straight man would ever have sex with another man for money, this is not true people will do anything for money, from selling drugs to wacking off their relatives, among numerous other things. A straight man doing gay porn doesn’t mean he’s bisexual( for in reality he may not have any attraction to the same sex) it means that he’s money hungry, liberal sexually and has the capabilities to overome certain mental blocks for money. I dont get this whole pay for gay thing and how it turns on gay porn viewers. Many of the pay for gay straight actors admit to being totally indifferent if not put off by the fact of male sexual intimacy (as some did anonimpously confess this in a Rolling stone article i read). Does it then turn u on to know that a man, whom if u met could probably not relate to any of your sentiments on gay culture, that is apathetic and turned off by male on male sex is willing to do gay porn for the potential earnings it has in store, surely this cant be. I’ve seen interview with gay porn star who while they might lean more to the female sex or both sex equally in their personal lives are still open about the fact that they enjoy and are very much into male sexual intimacy, and they proudly admit this. Jason Adonis on the other hand has made it clear through his vague cop out responses to direct quetions that he is not excited in anyway by male on male sex (in fact he might be apathetic towards it). I’m therefore not intrested in seeing someone who has no attraction for the male physique pretend as if he does so as to make money. to those of u who says the sexual background of the actor doesn’t matter, just as long as he is hot; what would u say if tucker Carlson or sean hannity (both of whom are fairly good looking but probably on the homophobic side) were to decide to do a gay porn flic (not that they ever would) so as just to make money, would u all be so cavilier about that, i think not?
Saying that it doesn’t matter whether the gay porn actor is into dudes any at all, is like saying the fact that milli vanilli didn’t sing on their album is irrelevant (just as long as it sound good), or that it doesn’t matter whether ashley simpson was lipsynching. If u cant sing at all and care nothing about singing, u probably shouldn’t be a singer and if u have no attraction towards male whatsoever you probably shouldn’t be having sex with them for money, its decieving to the fans who support the studios and the actors in all their endevours. And if your pay for gay, just say it so that those of us who wish not to watch videos that insult our sensibilities can know which one not to purchase or at least know which actors in the video aren’t genuine.
In conclusion i’m i live in a very homophobic country, where homosexuality is illegal and i have actually witnessed gay people bludgeoned to death, i know no actual gay person in my country and the whole gay sex thing is only a distant dream, gay porn is therefore one of my only means of excapism, where i can at least take comfort in the fact that the actors i’m seeing are just like me in terms of sexual orientation, but i’m not sure how true that is anymore because of this whole gay for pay thing. Peace

Jason Adonis is gay and he shouldnt be ashamed about it. Im bi and im honest about it because im attracted to both male pornstars (Jan Dvorak, Johan Paulik, Benjamin Bradley)and female pornstars (Lizzy Borden, Tylene Buck, Gina Lynn). I heard Jason is VERY attracted to Brad Pitt & Tom Cruise even if they’re homophobic.I think the reason why Jason Adonis is confused with his sexuality is because he is a Virgo and virgos arent as sexually competent as the other signs :)

Whomever said, “Hell hath no fury…or a bitter gay man”, knew what they were talking about. All you guys are frothing at the mouth because a hot, handsome guy like Jason isn’t available to you? Do you have any idea how pathetically bitter and jealous you sound? Get over yourselves. You should be used to sexual rejection by now. If you’d ever actually had a shot at someone as hot as him, you’d be sleeping with them, instead of watching them. So, he doesn’t want to sleep w/ you. Big deal. Gay men don’t want you, either, judging from the whiny, effeminate tones of your posts. Straight female porn stars have no sexual interest in their male fans, either. Does that mean that they’re lesbians? No. It just means that their fans are losers, too, and they have high standards and self-respect. Perhaps the reason Jason doesn’t like hanging around gay men off-set has more to do with the way you “guys” approach and treat him, far more than it does with any “deceit” on his part about his orientation. If you were handsome, sexy, athletic, masculine, with a build like his, would you want to spend any of your free time w/ a bunch of ugly, flaming, rude, lewd, condescending, preening, self-righteous, obnoxious effeminates? Of course not, so why do you expect his standards to be any lower?
The fact that you’re here bitching (as usual) about someone you claim doesn’t interest you indicates that you’re pissed because you feel REJECTED by yet another hot, masculine guy. No offense, but, shouldn’t you be used to that feeling BY NOW?
BTW, if a closeted gay guy can fake it with his wife every night, a straight guy can fake it for cash, and plenty of it, in comparison to male opposite-sex porn stars.
Whatever Jason’s orientation, he doesn’t “owe” ANYONE an explanation or clarification, nor is it your place to try to dictate his or anyone else’s sexual identity, just because he’s not who or what YOU want him to be. Just be happy that a hot guy let you see him naked, doing what you can only dream of doing with other hots guys who are waaaay out of your league.:)
If you guys weren’t such bitchy, judgmental effeminates, maybe you’d have a man as hot as Jason, instead of just watching him in porn.:)
