Gay Porn Controversy: Dark Alley’s Passio

blow-job-dark-alley-gayporn-pic-crucifix.jpgGiven that celebrities have become so infantilized that they’ve stopped saying vagina in favor of pussyfooted vowel combos, you’d think that gay porn itself might be enough to sufficiently shock the media elite. But no, the media won’t cover us unless we’re jumping out of cakes at Gay Porn Days or dining on dildos in a Da Vinci tableau. Case in point: Dark Alley’s Passio, a movie that looks dark, hot and fucked, but also genetically engineered to shock Bill O’Reilly into featuring it in the No Fisting Zone. Nevermind that Dark Alley’s Fisting Underground featured more jaw-dropping visuals, the Dark Alley press push for Passio is positively bursting with fresh and controversial ideas for easy media digestion — including hand-cut stills from Madonna’s “Like A Prayer” video.

madonna-gay-porn-like-a-prayer-pic.jpgBlack Jesus versus gay rapist Jesus? No contest on the offensivenss, but the chance that Passio will be covered on Entertainment Tonight: not likely. (Of course, I still can’t cum watching Madge shill for Pepsi.) Of course, it got us to write about it … thrice.

Cue the “This is why they hate us!” claptrap from all the gay apologists…

    Who’ll be first?

This is silly. It does not offend me but realistic to know it was done for shock value and publicity. Gay porn is supposed to be erotic and about fantasy. I dont know many gay guys that fantasize about being crucified or sucking off the person crucified. Just stupid plain and simple. But of course, they will get their 15 seconds in the spotlight.

If you don’t have quality I guess you have to go for controversy!

FInally a studio that shows a little imagination in its movies. Passio is hardly the first “blasphemous” take on the Bible or the Last Supper – and it won’t be the last. Kudos to Dark Alley for showing that porn can be inventive, controversial and erotic.

Yeah, because we know that Dark Alley CREATED inventive, controversial and erotic. Oh, those Dark Ages before DAM!

So does this mean that an embarrassed Pepsi is now going to pull their upcoming Owen Hawk/Passio co-sponsorship television commercials? -Steve

Gee, was that aimed at me, anonymous? Okay, so be it…

Not. The only similarity between DAM’s stupid premise and, say, the Folsom Street Fair’s is that the imagery is religious. But that’s where the similarity ends, because clearly DAM is doing this merely for the publicity, whereas FSF made it a Statement (with a capital ‘S’). DAM is desperate to drum up sales, FSF is working to destroy the character of the fair (bring on the flames!). Further, DAM represents themselves and only themselves.

The good news is that the religious nuts are busy wringing their hands over ENDA, the bad news is that… the religious nuts are busy wringing their hands over ENDA. Sorry DAM, nobody cares.

I am all for freedom of speech etc but this will do NOTHING to help erode the divisive wall of faith that separates us from the religious right. Simply put we just gave them a whole bunch of ammunition to use against us

Ah yes, the morons came out in force I see.

Yes, I’m sure this stupid little piece of overzealous publicity will alienate all those nice people like Fred Phelps. I’m sure some hick in the middle of nowhere was thinking of not going out tonight to beat up some homos UNTIL he saw this Passio nonsense.

    Riiiiight

You people are not only stupid, you’re delusional!

sickmaking is right — the religious right is going to hate gays regardless of what we do. No matter how “nice” gays play it isn’t going to convince them to accept us.

And that photo is really hot.
