Brett Mycles (1977 – 2007)

Born Robert Sager in Houston, Texas, he moved to Ohio and at 22, while he entered an Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Contest where he was spotted by photographer Irvin Gelb. This led to inclusion and eventually covers of magazines like Planet Muscle and Men’s Fitness which led to modeling Speedo’s and bikini briefs for the International Male Catalog. If you remember that catalog, you will understand his next move was not much different: Playgirl.

The cover of Playgirl led him to agent David Forest which led him to gay porn under the name of Brett Mycles. He started off as solos which led to “wrestling porn” which eventually led to gay hardcore “with limits.” Whether he was gay-for-pay or truly bisexual, Brett was known as a joyful person on and off the set. He left porn when he married his high school sweetheart in 2005. Sadly, at the age of 29, Brett Mycles passed away due heart failure. “The price Rob paid for that body was high. You don’t get a body like his naturally,” was spoken by a fellow muscle enthusiast as a cautionary tale for the next generation.
