Gay Porn Before & After: Matt Cole
His 2011 un-retirement turned out, sadly, to be rather short-lived. Focusing on professional bodybuilding and personal training for the last year and a half, it seems that Matt Cole has left porn behind him. Super sad face: he remains one of my favorite gay porn stars of all time. Those dreamy bedroom eyes, the chiseled body, affable demeanor, that insatiably hungry ass … I don’t think anyone needs to see a “before”, since we all know oh-so-well what he looked like in his gay porn days. But here’s two of my favorite pics of him anyway, for comparison sake:

Training for a competitive bodybuilding competition requires cycles of bulking up (where you pack on as much muscle as possible) and then a shredding phase where you focus on burning off all the fat to show maximum muscle definition. The above photos are of Matt during a bulking-up phase for an upcoming competition. Here’s Matt on stage during a bodybuilding competition (i.e., oiled up, tanned and “shredded”):
While Matt’s determination of will is remarkable and inspiring, it’s also interesting to see how an ideal “gay porn star” body is different from an ideal “bodybuilding” body. In both cases, the transformations are quite dramatic. When it comes to muscles: is it a “bigger the better” kind of thing, or is it possible to have too much of a good thing? Which version of Matt and Reese do you like better? And though it probably has something to do with showing off muscle definition or something, but what is the deal with bodybuilders slathering themselves with fake tan? Did we learn nothing from Tan Mom?

Matt Cole was always a stunner, but the steroid beast he is now is, sadly, more disturbing than beautiful.
If he’s happy, then good for him, but I find that over muscled look quite atrocious. Rideout doesn’t seem to have the same steroid look. The puffy face, etc.

Matt has always been gay and I totally agree that it’s too bad his comeback was so short lived. The industry has changed too much from when he was a major star. I think he still looks amazing. I wish him well in all his endeavors and he’ll always be my favorite. Don’t care about Reese

Huge difference between Matt Cole and Reece Rideout
Look how roided Cole looks. His face looks like it is going to explode. He looks horrible. Reece is natural and his face and head are normal.

I did love Matt “back in the day”, and even the pics in the middle are hot. His bedroom eyes were intriguing because he had perpetual bags under them, which somehow made him hotter, and he had a baby face that always got me going. But with bodybuilding goes the elimination of the fat that made his face so adorable. The new body may be ideal for bodybuilding, but that aesthetic really doesn’t seem applicable to porn. Some percentage of body fat is clearly necessary lol you don’t see bodies like that in porn for a reason.
