As Francois Sagat exits stage left for more mainstream projects, Colby Keller is heir apparent to the crown the new breed of thinky/artsy gay porn stars. An artist with no artistic body of work to speak of per se, Keller’s charming mix of art criticism and snickering penis jokes on his Blog and his high-concept Judith Butler-quoting YouTube vids have endeared him to a whole new breed of hipsters and art fags and academics who usually turn their nose at “traditional” gay porn.

You are amazing. How does it feel to know you have all these fans who think of your as perfect in every way and love you (or their idea of you) from afar? I’m one of them but of course I can’t take it too seriously. I’m old enough to be your very young uncle, but I still think your attitude to your work is awesome and keep up the good blog.
Also, it would me nice to have more videotaped interviews with you and all. See you off camera, out of characters, just the real Colby from Houston. It would be interesting to hear what it was like growing up in the ’80s in Houston. People would like to hear you thoughts on your work your life, your ars poetica of porn and how it feels to know that thousands of fans are crushing on you bad.
