Chi Chi LaRue just wrapped filming a new bisexual movie for called Shifting Gears and I have to admit I’m intrigued by the idea of using actual gays (and a few self-identified straight and bisexual guys) in the cast.

Plus you get to see Blake Riley fucking a girl for the first time in his life. The fact he’s got Ryan Alexander’s cock up his ass while he’s doing it might explain some things, but still sounds hot. What ever happened to Ryan? I guess we now know.

They sent over some exclusive pics, after the jump. There’s some titties in some of the photos, just so you know. Don’t freak out, k? Thx.

I loved working with everyone on set. HOT models, great crew and Chi Chi rocked the joint. It was great cause I also got to show off my acting chops. The highlight of the shoot was being behind the camera and watching Blake kiss, suck, lick and fuck a girl. I was like “HOLY FUCKING SHIT…..WOW!!!!!!!!” I could believe it. He looked like he enjoyed and it shows why he is at the top of his game. He went for it and I’m very proud of him. My straight scene with porn star Lola was fantastic and I loved working with her. I hope everyone enjoys the film cause this film WILL be an award winner.

While I like Chi Chi’s work and what she stands for, this will not be on my “buy” list. I’m a gay man and see no reason to explore bisexuality either in real life or in my porn purchases. I don’t have a problem with there being a market for it or with other people’s preferences…but the title says it all – Straight for Pay…that’s not better than Gay for Pay. Be who you are, not who you would be for a paycheck.

Question-What’s the appeal of a supposed gay man having sex with a woman? Where’s the self respect? Where’s the, quote, “GAY PRIDE”? If I wanted to see a man have sex with a woman then I would watch str8 porn. We’re gay for a reason. Women don’t appeal to us sexually. And they never will. If you’re gay then, I’m sorry, you’re not going to have sex with a woman. These guys in these movies have the nerve to call themselves gay. Give me a break. That’s like me calling myself a vegetarian but then eat big ass cheeseburger for lunch. Where are the real gay men in gay porn industry? It seems there are none. Gay-4-pay and Str8-4-pay are the same as bisexual. No thanks.

I haven’t seen Wolf Hudson this excited about a movie for a while, so I think it will be good. Plus, it’s always fun to experiment sexually, and it seems to me that the cast enjoyed themselves doing it. And if a gay guy is going to have sex with a woman, there’s no one better to direct it than Chi Chi. She knows what people into that want to see. No harm, no foul, I say!

the people so violently “against” the very “idea” of movie are cracking me up … it’s like listening to straight people freak out over gays or conservatives freak out over immigrants.

Aren’t gay people supposed to have more open minds than this?

I know there is an audience for this type of film, and I think that’s perfectly fine. The play on words (“gay for pay” to “straight for pay”) is clever. But since good porn is about creating a passionate scene based on some kind of realistic attraction between two or more people, what’s the point of getting gay guys to have sex with women? And really, why is it so incredibly exciting to everybody when the gay guy manages to do it while the others cheer him on from the sidelines? Since there are hardly any true gay men in porn anymore, it can really come across as a mind fuck to the viewer who yearns to see out, proud, real gay men on the screen. It’s like, “Hurray, this actor is really gay and likes cock…but wait, now he’s fucking pussy???” Sorry, but as a gay man who loves seeing gay men enjoy gay sex, it’s a major turn off.

From another board “It is as bad as hiring white men to perform in blackface rather than hiring actual black men.”

I have to say I agree. However I think the answer is pretty simple, if straight men want to make more money doing gay porn, fine. But I don’t have to watch.

I used to like seeing Blake Riley but whatever appeal he had seems gone to me now.

By the way, does anyone know if the guys used condoms when screwing the women?

I like both gay and straight porn. The appeal of straight porn for me is seeing straight men who are into girls really give it to them.

Gay men doing women? I just don’t see what’s hot about it at all.

This is not going to be a trend. Gay porn stars make so much more than straight men in straight porn.

What’s hot about it is seeing a goodlooking gay guy leave a comfort zone and get into a new role. Being gay has nothing to do with being grossed out by women, it just means you prefer men. And the idea here is still about watching men. I’ve always been turned on by seeing a guy eat out a woman. It’s all about his intensity and how awesomely dirty it looks. When it comes to sex and porn, I don’t care about politics or “gay pride”. Maybe the gay guys who have a problem with this just have a problem with women?

Wolf, if you’re so excited about doing straight porn then go do it because many of us aren’t that excited about you in gay porn.

Chi Chi hasn’t put out a decent movie in years so, I really doubt this one will start a new trend. It will just be another one in a long line of flops.

Why should gay people be happy to see supposed gay men having sex with women then have them talk about how great they were and how much they enjoyed it? Great, just what we need—more ammunition for those nuts who think we can change “if we really wanted to.” But you know what, I can’t change. No matter how much money you offer me, no matter how much gay porn is on in the background, no matter how hard I think about some hot guy, no matter how much Viagra I take I’m not going to be able to get a hardon for woman. Why? Because I’m gay. If these guys want to make these bi movies, fine, it’s their prerogative and lives, but don’t insult true gay men and call yourself gay while your dick is inside some woman’s uterus.

As for the “black-face” comment, considering how rife The Industry is with [allegedly] Gay-4-Pay guys, that whole argument is kind of moot. If they can do it CONSTANTLY, We can do it occasionally.

Bisexual is pretty much gay. It actually IS gay, but you just also enjoy the opposite sex as well. I had a feeling that someone was going to complain about this. I don’t like labels, some of these guys might just be bi-curious. If seeing men have sex w/ girls does not appeal to you, you do always have the choice of not buying or viewing it : )

But don’t go bashing the actors for what they’re doing. IT’S THEIR JOB. And so fucking what. Maybe bisexuals are having the last laugh. I’m sorry but if a gay guy wants to go to bed with a woman (whether it’s for money or pleasure or both) he is going to do it without worrying that he might make gays look bad. Some of the gay guys on this site, who are offended by other gays being bi-curious, sound as rigid and fascistic as the straight conservative people they oppose. I may like men but, other than that, it doesn’t sound like we play for the same team.

I think most of these comments, whether for or against this movie come across as very preachy, selfrighteous, and judgmental. Some people will find this movie appealing and others will not, and I don’t think anyone needs to hurl insults or stoop to name-calling because someone either does or does not get turned on by this movie.

However, I do agree that the “straight-for-pay” marketing is a bit silly. I seriously doubt that Blake Riley has never had sex with a woman before making this movie, and it is a little goofy that this movie tries to make it seem like the production is “turning out” gay guys by having them try having sex with women for the “first time.” I think that sort of marketing portrays a very simplistic view of sexuality and is somewhat insulting to both the male and female actors. Blake and the other actors may be straight in real life, they may be bisexual, or they may simply be like the well over 50% of self-identified gay men who have had sex with a woman at some point in their lives–and now they are simply opening up to experimenting again as part of their jobs as porn actors. It’s not a big deal, and it certainly doesn’t take away from anyone’s gay identity, if in fact they are gay. But, I would have avoided using the silly “straight for pay” marketing slogan which makes it seem like these actors were forced by economic distress into doing what they did. I would have simply presented it as bisexual porn and let straight, gay, and bisexual individuals choose to watch it or not.

The issue of “straight for pay” was bound to generate controversy amongst gay men. I can’t say (as a gay guy) I have that much of an interest in watching porn that involves women (no matter how good looking they are). I applaued Chi Chi however, for trying to break open the BI market of porn again – which let’s face it, hasn’t been that successful. I just think it should be made clear that this is really the intended audience that this film is aimed at.

Looking at this thread, there are obviously gay guys who will want to see this, and there are others who really don’t. To each their own. I respect and accept that everyone has their own turn ons and offs. This isn’t my cup of tea, but I’m not going to disrepect those who may enjoy this.

My issue is the “gay for pay”, “straight for pay” terms. Frankly, I found this off putting. To me, it conjurs up an image of a person who is doing this, not because they want to, but because they are being paid enough money to do it. It goes without saying that male performers are paid noticably more on the gay side of porn than the straight side, hence why so many “gay for pay” actors choose to work on this side of the business.

As a consumer, I personally like seeing, good looking guys, engaged in passionate sex where the chemistry is strong and obvious as oppose to just “phoning it in”. Some performers are able to convey this (Jude Collin & Aaron James – who identify themselves as “straight guys”) have done some really hot gay sex scenes. Then, there are others who have been less convincing. Brodie Sinclair & Eric Blaine are obvious examples. Granted, these guys are hot and are able to get hard and go through a scene to get what’s required, but I have never really felt as a viewer that they were into what they were doing on screen. Case in point, the Falcon film Brodie did – “Longboard”, he frankly looked uninterested and showed no sign of enjoying his sex scene – a trait that has followed him through a lot of movies that he’s done. Same applies for Eric. He did a scene in the JetSet film “Cock Tease” and didn’t look as though this was something that he enjoyed – dispite staying hard. I’m suppose what I’m trying to say is that if you’re a performer who identifies himself as “straight” (at least in your personal life), if you’re going to do gay porn, show some actual enthusiam and interest in what you’re doing, not just a guy’s who can’t wait to collect his cheque when the scene is over. And from what other guys have previously stated in the above posts, it would be nice to see some genuine gay guys be given the chance to step up and shine in gay porn.

At the end of the day when all is said and done, gay porn is for gay folks, straight porn is for straight people and bi/tranny porn is for those who either consider themeselves bi or are curious to see how the other half lives. Whatever floats your boat baby, there is somthing for everyone when it comes to the big wide world of porn!.

I’ll just step down off my soapbox now!…. :)

You know I am a out and proud homo and always have been. I’m what they call a Kinsey 6, which means 100% into my own gender… which works for me. So yeah this movie isn’t made or marketed for me.

Still some of these “pro-gay” comments here are really just misogynist rants at best. If you are truly secure in your sexuality you would be less offended by a gay guy exploring heterosexuality, for pleasure or for pay.

But I have to say I am often shocked and embarrassed at the level of intolerance we have within our own community. I saw a huge backlash directed at Ricky Sinz last year for being himself, a true bisexual and having successl in a same sex industry. Now we’re slamming Blake Riley…

In our current political climate I think we all should be grateful that we still have the right to be who we are: be it gay or bi or questioning… and to explore that on film. Rather than show our extreme intolerance and ignorance because we’ve got nothing better to do with our time. Newsflash: To the conservative right we’re all going to hell… Gay, bi, swingers and pornographers… they’d put us all down if they could.

And the shitty personal comments directed to Wolf and Chi Chi have nothing to do with the topic and should be removed, I’m surprised they made the post… come on we all have feelings. Totally fucked!

To the people in the gay porn industry: You guys are missing a real critical point here. As I’m sure you already know, porn is based on creating a realistic fantasy that will not only be believable but highly erotic to the viewer. For the past year or so, you have worked to create the fantasy of Blake Riley as a GAY porn star, and not just any gay porn star, but an almost SUPER-GAY one…a gay guy’s dream come true, so gay in fact that he hasn’t even had sex with a woman. Whether he’s really gay or not has become irrelevant at this point. The fact is, this is the fantasy you created for the viewer.

Now, you’ve “switched gears” and turned him into a BISEXUAL porn star, a different fantasy. And not only that, you’ve even emphasized how much he enjoyed his sexual experiences with a woman. So in essence, what you have done is destroy the gay fantasy you created and replace it with with a bisexual one.

For this reason, I honestly can’t understand why you guys are so surprised by people’s negative reactions. Now, I’m not talking about the bi-phobic comments because there’s absolutely no excuse in those. What I’m talking about is the fact that you’ve changed the fantasy. Regardless of what happens now, in the eyes of many gay viewers Blake Riley will no longer be viewed a GAY porn star but a BISEXUAL one.

  49. MNF August 21st, 2008 at 2:40 AM

One more comment: Since Blake seems to be the undivided focus of attention in this movie, I think the controversy would settle down somewhat if he took the time to make some sort of statement about it. Up until now, the only quote from him has been the now widely publicized “I fucked a girl, and I liked it.” If he really values his gay fanbase, I hope he has more to say about it than that.

My prediction is that this movie is going to be very successful because of the controversy alone, and I would be very surprised if we don’t see Blake fucking more and more girls in his porn future.

The marketing of this film is highly offensive. What Chichi has found a cure for being a fag? Oh Blake’s parents must be so happy, “Our son, pounds pussy like a real man. Now we can be proud of him.”

This sucks, it’s stupid, gross and reeks of desperation. I will never watch a scene with Blake Riley again, I understand he maybe bisexual, but to put across the idea he is gay man “cured” is utterly horrible and a spit in the face of homosexuality , I have no respect for him whatsoever. If I see him on stage I’ll boo him.

And Steve, how dense are you? You are contradicting yourself. The concept of this film fits in nicely with an anti-gay agenda. That a man can “turn” and rid oneself of his homosexuality, by just fucking a woman.

It and everyone involved in this project should be ashamed of themselves, skimming a nice profit of internalized homophobia and self-loathing. I’m sick of it and honestly this constant obsession with heterosexuality in gay porn has utterly destroyed it.

Therein lies the problem with this porno. If the makers marketed it as it really was (Bisexuals having sex)and not the offensive: Gays having straight sex and liking it, then there would be no problem.

I think the way this flick is being marketed is disturbing and insulting to many self-respecting gay men and I will certainly not spend any of my hard-won cash on it.

Which ever way you feel about it, Chichi has got to admit, the majority of gay men are disappointment and offended by this film, or more specifically the marketing of this film, which implies gay men, have sex with women and are converted and are now bisexual or straight.

She has to be realistic, bi porn has a limited audience, was it worth offending the majority of her market for a smaller one? Riley’s bragging of his newly found or revised orientation to me the most offensive thing about this marketing ploy. Even if he says he is gay (which I doubt he is), most people wont believe him and he has already ruined the “fantasy” which is basically what a porn star’s alter ego is.

Bottom line is his fans did not want to see him having sex with a woman and then bragging about it how fantastic it was.

Also it’s not about bi porn, as Allworlds put out Bi-back Mountain earlier and that offended no one. Chichi should apologize, certainly not for making this film, but for the marketing, because she can’t deny a lot of gay men and her consumers who have spent a lot of money on her products feel insulted and offended by it’s homophobic undertones. Blake should retire, since according to the net backlash, he has “turned” at least 70% of his fan base off him.

I have cancelled my membership to the C1R website, any self-respecting gay man should to the same.

Why do you think they call them actors? If a guy who identifies as being guy can make you believe that he is really getting into a chick, then he deserves an award in my book.

LOL Bobby, They are not actors they are porn stars, they are not simulating sex, they are actually having sex.

Chi Chi’s is ecstatically shouting on her blog Blake was a gay man who after fucking a girl in now bisexual, and how much he loved “pounding pussy”. I too will never view anything which features Blake Riley.

Blake Harper, Jason Ridge, Tommy Blade are gay men who have made bisexual porn, but it is the marketing of this combined Blake Riley’s stupid and offensive comments which have upset people. I don’t care if Blake is privately bisexual, but insinuating he is a gay man converted into a bisexual or straight man is what is disgusting about this.

Well, Chichi has stated on her site, that “Cameron Marshall and Blake Riley Go Straight.”
And she writes about the women who have made that way “bisexual”
Also on another forum Chi Chi describes Blake as a “true sexualist” a true sexualist is the same as calling someone bi.

Looking back, Blake never seemed to enjoy being with a guy on camera, all his performances were incredibly boring and lacklustre. Especially in Restless Youth with Johnny Hazzard, which was mind numbingly boring and the scene in Chosen, which I have never seen, but reviews said his scene with two other men was particularly bad, and it mentioned he never has a proper hard on.

The fact that in this film he is apparently REALLY into it, where he kisses, sucks, licks and fucks 3 girls, with gusto, would suggest the man is bisexual, or maybe even straight, but certainly not gay.

I have nothing against anyone’s sexual orientation, I just think this film should me market as what it is: a cast of bisexual men have bi sex, and not the offensive, homophobic and insulting way which it is.

    aon,

I know emotions have run high on this topic, but let’s be fair here: You’ve misquoted Chi Chi and have taken her words out of context. Yes, the promotional wording on Channel1’s site is the kicker here and has disappointed a lot of people (myself included), but Chi Chi didn’t “ecstatically shout” that Blake Riley is now a bisexual man after doing this film. Yes, she did say Blake was a “sexualist,” but she also said in the same post that he’s “still gay.” (Can’t remember where that was, but I do remember reading it somewhere.) And I don’t think she ever said Blake “pounded pussy”; those were the words of Jason Curious, and he said Blake did it “under the pressure of crew and cameras.” That carries a different meaning when it’s seen in context.

And speaking of context, Channel1’s “I fucked a girl, and I liked it” quote was put in the context of Blake singing it to the Katy Perry song, which sort of gives it a cutesy overtone. But AVN made no reference to the song and instead prefaced the quote by saying, “Riley was unapologetic about losing his heterosexual virginity. ‘I fucked a girl, and I liked it,’ he said.” That gives it a whole different overtone, sort of an in-your-face feel to it. Same quote, but presented in two different ways.

My understanding is that Blake had a curiosity about being with a woman since he supposedly had never had that experience before. There’s no crime in that, as many gay men have wondered what it would be like. And let’s face it: Sex can be enjoyable to a certain extent with either gender. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a gay man and strongly prefer men. I have no real desire to be with a woman sexually, but if I did, I don’t think I’d throw up or freak out. It might be a pleasant experience that I would “like,” but I know damn well it wouldn’t turn me from being gay to bi. Maybe that’s just the way it was with Blake. Only he can testify to that. And remember: He’s a PORN ACTOR. These guys get paid to PERFORM sexually in a variety of scenarios. Maybe that’s what Chi Chi meant by Blake and the other guys being “sexualists.”

At this point I really feel sorry for Blake because his performance is going to be heavily scrutinized, especially by viewers who will be looking to see if he gives a more enthusiastic performance with women than he has with men. The image, fantasy, or whatever you want to call it of him as a true gay man has been sullied by all this controversy, and all the poor guy did was do a bi movie, something many gay porn actors have done in the past. I don’t know, maybe this will all turn out OK in the long run, but I still hope Blake himself will make some sort of statement about it.

So a porno is made that doesn’t appeal to your sexual tastes? Who cares?!

As a gay man, I love it when straight porn stars go gay for pay. In fact, if they were gay from the get go, the fantasy would be lost.

I don’t think this type of porn necessarily caters to bisexual men as it does women who are aroused by gay men.

Is there even a market for something like this? Who knows, but kudos to Chi Chi for exploring it.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Come on guys, it’s a porn movie. Why does everybody take it so personal? Some comments about the performers are too rude to mention. I think the guys, especially Blake and Wolf, look hot (but yes Steve, you look way hotter still)! Chi Chi probably wanted to bring this dirty lil’ flick into the spotlight and look …. it worked. So it’s a little controversial, I like a little controversy. Shake things up a little.
If you don’t like it then don’t watch it and if you do … well you get the picture ;-)
Will I be watching it? I don’t think think so (but I have to admit I did see Copshack II too) . Will it be the end of the world? No way! Seriously, there’s much more important stuff to bitch about.

You guys are fucking ridiculous. It’s a porn movie. They are actors. It’s a fantasy. If it’s not yours, then don’t watch it.

Reading some of these comments, you guys sound a lot like homophobic straight guys threatened by gay sex or even the idea of gay sex because they don’t want to admit that it’s hot even though they’re not gay.

And this just really spotlights the futility of these labels – gay, straight, bi – in the first place. Labels are for bigots. Sex is for everyone!

    Peace out bitches.

I really like Blake, but this has upset me quite a bit.

I would like to hear more from Blake than “I fucked a girl and I liked it” (even if he did say it in the tune of that song).

He has a lot of explaining to do because ChiChi’s promotion has soured him completely in the eyes of his many fans and every gay guy.

After reading these comments, I am a little turned off of Blake now. Its not him, but the promo of this thing. There are many gay guys out there who have had sex with women but it doesnt necessarily mean they are straight does it? This is exactly the same thing but this controversy has made it worse than it is. And I cant help but be tainted by it as well.

Blake, please say something! We all loved you (and some of us still do) and I dont wanna see you go away over something as trivial as this.

Chris, go to Xbiz Premiere and check out the September edition of their magazine. (You can read the digital version online.) There’s an article about the movie and a few more quotes from Blake. They’re not necessarily helpful, but at least they will give you something more than just “I fucked a girl and I liked it,” which has been quoted over and over and over….

    Thanks for that article MNF!

Well, the XBIZ article basically shows how eager he was to try it, but we both already knew that. I don’t think he felt the need to question his sexuality because he expected his fans to enjoy his performance (as stated). After all, Chi Chi always says they’re bringing a fantasy to life.

I’m starting to think that someone caused a huge, unnecessary commotion over this (all these attention-grabbing headlines are ridiculous). I’m sure he is still gay and the articles probably took his words out of context – some don’t even mention that he commented to the tune of Katy Perry’s song. This movie was produced a while ago I think, and his Myspace profile says his gay. He just wanted to try it because he’d never done it before and was just excited at the time. And that is his personality – which I love. The only thing that would change my thoughts otherwise is whether he likes it more than he likes guys. But, I’m pretty sure we need not worry.

I’m not sure if you agree with me, but I still really like Blake anyway. And I don’t think I needed to worry about his sexuality. This controversy was a bit stupid and I hope Blake isn’t affected by this.

As a bi woman, I’m just looking around to see what the fuss is about and to see if bi porn is really getting more into the mainstream, and all I can really say is: Ouch. Really? Saying that all bi men are really gay and that this is offensive? Saying you’ll throw out all your dvds and boycott? It’s porn! Sex is sex, yes? Don’t like it, don’t buy it, right? All the pearl clutching is pretty disturbing to me. I really don’t get where it says that this movie is showing that gays can be “cured” on this or any other website I’ve seen. This isn’t some church made bible thumping exposition on how straight sex can magically change you. It’s a porno exploring the fluidity of sexuality. Granted, I don’t like the advertising either since it’s just silly to me, but aren’t all porno promotions ridiculous, though? I don’t think sexuality is a “choice,” but even if it was, would being gay or bi be a bad thing? Not in my book. And really, should actor be condemned for having sex with a woman ONCE? All the outraged comments are just really sad to me.

First off this we all you people saying get over it and ignore it fuck you. Being gay is special we had the best paid actors and the biggest cocks. This all took a turn when straight men figured out that could manipulate the gay purse strings by being gay for pay. It’s insulting. Not only is it a foolish move. It’s started the rise of bareback porn and trust me folks it’s on the rise. Because now gay men are turning to a section of porn where they can be sure that the men are gay. Sadly I’m not surprised at any of this. Blacks in gay porn are treated as a fetish if they exisit at all. Black bottoms are nearly non existant. Poor asian men are so in the fetish closet I see more profiles asking for asian and latino only and white only on dating/hook up sites that it makes me sick.
The point being if you want bigotry and hatred we don’t even have to leave our own gay community. We treat people with HIV/Aids like garbage when it comes to dating causing them to take more risks just to find someone who will touch love and hold them.We do this same thing with blacks and latinos and anyone without the status quo skin tone.
Bisexual is fine but you don’t market it amoung your bread and butter the minute you forget where your bread is buttered you fuck up. OR better one Don’t shit where you sleep.

Why are any of you surprised? I don’t agree with Chi Chi’s choice in this movie but she is trying to battle the death of the gay porn industry. Sadly when you start paying straight to fuck men you opened up Pandora’s box. She made the bed I’m quite sure she’s prepared to lay in it.

To Tom who wondered if there was a market for films which cater to women aroused by gay men, I have to say there’s at least some market for it. I usually just watch gay porn but I’d love it if there was a better crop of bi-porn out there.

I’m not going to get into the issues everyone else in this thread has been having because I firmly believe that once someone has a strong opinion, you could make a million logical/rational statements and you would never change their mind one iota. I have to say though, as a bisexual woman, I’m kinda saddened by a lot of the more rigid ideas of sexuality that some people here have been spouting. I’ll let you in on a little secret, sexuality isn’t -just- about the sexual act. Being gay/straight/bi is more about who you connect with on a personal level, not simply who you’re sticking your cock into. Guess some guys haven’t figured that out yet. ;)

    Peace,
    Saxy

As a bisexual man I find it incredibly stupid that some people seem to think that male bisexuality doesn’t exist or at least those men who say they are bi are really gay instead.
As for the whole “gay for pay” and now “straight for pay” thing is concerned I just think it’s more honest for those to just say they are bi. Who do they think they’re fooling? No one is forcing them to have sex with men and women.

To each his/her own. I have to say that the pictures are hillarious. I don’t think that was necessarily the intent, but those picstures….esp, pictures #1, #2, and #5!….LMAO!!!! Anyway, I guess those of us (doesn’t matter to me) who are gay and don’t care for this concept are probably frustrated at the idea of changing ones’ sexuality (esp. for monetary gains) feeds into the homophobic, religious zealots’ ideology that being gay is a choice. While I know that WE know that sex is not the only/main part of being gay, it is an important part and so displaying this concept to some may bring about resentment. Again, personally, it doesn’t bother me, but I can appreciate why some (particularly, gay men) might be offended.

I bet most of you bellyaching over Riley having sex with a woman wouldn’t be 1/10 as hostile if some well regarded straight male porn star suddenly decided to do a movie where he’s having sex with a man “for the first time.” You know it’s funny how we WELCOME straight men being “bi-curious,” and declare that there is nothing wrong with m/m experimentation and whatnot, but a gay man who is curious about sex with men gets stoned by the same people.
