According to Jeppe/Jett, he shot his Cockyboys scenes shortly after appearing in Swan Lake at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Not long after, thanks to the internet and some cross-over between the audiences for the ballet and gay porn, he was outted and the RWB asked for his resignation. While he doesn’t regret the decision, he didn’t anticipate the fall out.
“My identity is built on being a ballet dancer,” he told CBC News.
“For me to come there was a big opportunity for me.”
But earlier this year, Hansen appeared in his first pornographic video — a side project and an opportunity, he said, to express himself in a new way — and RWB officials found out.
“They told me … they didn’t have any space for me because I did porn,” he said.
According to Hansen, school administrators asked him to sign a letter stating that he voluntarily withdrew from the program.
Hansen said he never wanted to leave the RWB, but he felt that officials had already made up their minds on the matter.
He accused the ballet company of unfairly trying to define what constitutes art.
The Canadian Broadcast Company (CBC) aired the story on the nightly news, including lots of shots of Jett (neé Jeppe Hansen) doing splits. Of course, Jett’s limber dancer’s butt is not exactly news to us.
This is an intriguing week for Cockyboys — director Jake Jaxson came out as Emmy winning producer Jason Buchtel and revealed an odd connection to fugitive NSA leaker Edward Snowden. Somehow, this all results in excellent porn.

Who said anything about him looking gay?. If you willingly have sex with guys, I’m inclined toward the ‘he’s into it’ theory much more than the ‘he’s in it for the art’ story he’s trying to sell. It’s ironic he’s trying to portray himself as a victim for having gay sex, when he, like so many other ‘gay for payers’ won’t even admit they’re gay/bi as if there were something wrong with it.

He’s not “willingly having sex with guys.” He’s being PAID to perform sexual acts with guys. Big difference. Porn sex is nothing like real sex anyway. By the way, on his blog he responds to another question with an answer that implies he is bi, then in another response he talks like he’s gay…so he’s all over the board. But of course that’s very typical in this business. Enjoy the fame while it lasts.

Unless he’s being forced to do it, he’s doing it willingly. Sex is sex, whether you get paid for it or not(unless it’s force on you, of course). It’s cool he’s all over the place, I just wish he had the balls not to hide behind the ‘gay-for-pay’ non-sense. Only delusional people can believe any of these guys is truly straight.

I just got back from dancing with RWB… I’m pretty sure 8 out of 10 guys dancing there are gay, myself included. It sucks that they made him leave though, he’s really nice!

He’s better off in NYC anyways. There are probably hundreds of dance companies there who would hire him because he’s a talented dancer, regardless of whether he does porn or not.

Jett should talk with Gus Maddox about integrating a porn life/porn past into a career in the arts. Perhaps Gus would have some advice for the young pup. Jett is a young 22, and even though he’s been dancing with RWB and a couple of European companies before that (which should have given him some experience), he must not have seen the hard reality that ballet is the temple of the wealthy donor. And no one who runs a ballet school or company is going to chance one of the dowager patrons dropping her pearls at the notion that there’s a fox in the hen house … so to speak!

Ha what David said above. And nice one, Jett :) This is a good example of how the Internet age has eliminated most of the possibilities of leading a dual life in two public venues. Dennis Parker could once work on a successful soap without everyone knowing he was Wade Nichols. Roger Koch once worked with the Metropolitan Opera without people knowing he was Frank Vickers. It’s the information age. People are gonna connect the dots if you’re in front of cameras in both jobs.

Jeppe wanted to break out of the restraints the ballet world — more specifically RWB — and express himself in another manner (and I could argue that CockyBoys/Jake Jaxon DOES make some artistic porn) and did so. Good on him. Shame that the closed-minded had to get in the way.
