Gay Porn Milk Carton: Jim Bentley and Kevin Williams
I’ve mentioned before that for the past year or so, we’ve been shooting a documentary about Falcon Studios founder Chuck Holmes. We’ve been slowly making our way through the living Falcon superstars to talk about what it was like to work with Chuck. Thanks to help from people like Steven Scarborough of Hot House and John Rutherford of COLT, we’ve had a fair amount of success. But given that few of the porn stars were using their actual names, and given that many of them had no connection to the industry other than a few films, it’s taken a fair amount of detective work. This is where I’m hoping you guys will come in.
Most importantly, I’m trying to track down Jim Bentley (above left) and Kevin Williams (above right), two of Chuck’s favorite models. I’d heard that Kevin Williams was living in South Florida somewhere, and that Jim Bentley was in San Francisco, but that’s about as far as I’ve gotten.

Jim Bentley authored a book a couple of years ago, so it might be possible to find him via the book’s publisher.
In the Falcon video “The Other Side of Aspen II” hung Blatino Guy O. G. Johnson tops and White Twinky Lee Stern and, as I recall, Lee Stern utters the infamous line: “Fuck My White Ass”.
Further, someone should tell the current market who Buster (Falcon’s Night Flight) was.

I think that “Fuck my white ass” is Night Flight, isn’t it? There were rumors of a obscenity bust in TN based on that, but so far I can’t find the record.
I’ll see if I can track down Buster, and perhaps ‘the mystery skier’ from Other Side of Aspen II. I’m certain that it was Merv Griffen.

OG Johnson is in Night Flight with Buster but I don’t think Lee Stern is in Nightflight. The only video I could find with Johnson and Stern was Other Side of Aspen.
Jeff Cole aka Buster is unfortunately no longer with us. Jeff Cole tried for public office in West Hollywood I think

Mike Branson is a lawyer in the Mid-West, married with kids now, Some guy in the industry, a gay porn writer I think, tracked him down, and later wrote Branson wanted nothing to do with the industry whatsoever anymore.

For what it’s worth: I drove a SF Yellow Cab in 1987 when Eric Manchester and his girlfriend got in near 450 Sutter St. Eric stepped out of the cab for a reason I can’t recall, leaving just the very beautiful girl. I turned to her and said “wow, that’s Eric M, he’s my favorite pornstar and I want to thank him for his work on our behalf.” She said anxiously, “please don’t tell him that.” Eric got back into the cab in the foulest of moods. The girl tried to comfort and sooth him saying things like, “it’s ok, don’t worry.” I took them to their destination with him being clearly upset. He left without acknowledging that I even existed or knowing that I was a huge fan. So, projecting the reason for his angst I thought he had just learned of a positive HIV diagnosis and that somehow he blamed it on his participation in the industry. The reason is utter fantasy on my part, but I never saw him in another film.

Again, for what it’s worth: the intrepid Jim Bentley (Getting It, et al.) appeared at a Falcon promotional event at Folsom Gulch just before a Folsom Street Fair in 2005(?). The current Falcon meat panel consisted of several hairless boys with the exception of Justin Dragon, (who was the stud I wanted to see in person) and surprisingly, Jim Bentley. All the guys sat at a table signing their respective stack of 8 x 10 glossies and most were half naked. Bentley was leaner than I remembered him from his appearance at the Campus Theater. But he was still buff, bright, blond and astonishingly unchanged, appearing as youthful(and hot) as all the other Falcon boys who were two decades younger.

I just bought ‘Last Time I Drew A Crowd’ a few days ago via a 3rd party at Amazon. It’s a great read! I had actually ordered the book in Dec 2010, and Bentley wrote me via Amazon, stating he was out of copies and would get back with me once more were available (his personal email address had been hidden, and I didn’t hear from him again–too bad). I have a lot of old vhs tapes, and it’s cool to play Bentley’s movies while reading his account of making them. His website (JimBentleyXXX.com) no longer exists.
I would also like to know what happened to Eric Ryan. One site states he died in 1991, but I know that’s incorrect because I saw him at a pride event in LA in 1995.

I have written many bios about gay porn stars for my group Forgive me Father … Devils & Angels. I have not yet written about Eric, but I do know he was also a talented musician and composer, and was also a journalist at some stage in his life, according to info I have on file.
Eric lived in New York for many years – trying to break into the music business. He then moved to LA around 1986 – although had been involved in the porn industry since the late 1970’s. I remember him with fondness in The Boys of Venice and Centurians of Rome. He went on to appear in nearly 80 porn films but after about 1992, they seems to be compilation titles with feature films having ended in this year, according to the information I have.
I am not sure when he moved from LA but moved to San Francisco, where he was alleged to have lived until his death – reported as being in 1993 – from lymphoma and HIV.
I have done no in-depth research yet, but he was a fascinating and educated man, and I’m sure that when I write the bio it will have various interesting quotes to refer to from the Internet and printed sources.

I am guessing at this late stage of the game you may have already found all the info you need on both Jim bentley and Kevin Williams, FIrst of all Kevin williams his real name Is [redacted] and jim Bentley okay im sure i got this wrong but i think its like [redacted] or something anyway, I used to work at the Campus Theatre in San Francisco as a male stripper and worked with Jim Bentley and I am farily certain Jim Bentley was also in a movie that I the original Michael Brandon not the LA Superstar and my lover Shawn Erickson did a movie called ALL THE WAY. We also worked with Lou Cass in Sexy Billy Blue anyway I just called an ex of mine in Philly who knows [kevin williams] and he was fairly certain he is in Los Angeles and he mentioned he had a Facebook page but was uncertain if it was active or not. I persoally saw Kevin when I moved to San Diego so I know my ex does in fact know him anyway I came across this site quite by accident as I ran into a photographer here in Palm Springs whos studio in SF was used to make the move ALL THE WAY in and I got nastalgic and was trying to look for it, :)
