Did Alexander McQueen Hang Himself Over A Well Hung Porn Star?
Probably not, but as the mainstream media well knows, if you want to add a dose of Hollywood Gothic to a normally tragic story, just cherchez le porno gay. Jacob Bernstein of the Daily Beast suggested today that the late designer Alexander McQueen, who killed himself last week only a few days after his mom died, may have been distraught over an unnamed porn star escort ...
McQueen had been involved with a porn star he'd identified in a September 2009 New York Times Magazine piece as "Mr. Stag." Two sources believe that Mr. Stag was in fact Aiden Shaw, a 43-year-old escort who at one point was the gay-porn equivalent of Tom Cruise ...
While we don't doubt the pret-a-porn connection, which has a long history from Halston to Marc Jacobs -- Mr. Stag seems unlikely to be Shaw (here discussing less sensational matters in a recent Tim and Roma episode). McQueen had known Shaw for years (the article in the times refers to The Times article mentions the pair meeting recently), and had even given him a platinum ring.
"Recently McQueen began seeing a porn star, whom he met online. “It’s great!” he cackles. He told me the man’s name but asked that I identify him only by his porn nom de famille, Mr. Stag."
The only problem?: Though London-based, and gorgeous enough to make anyone cackle -- Aiden Shaw didn't use "Mr. Stag" as his porn nom de famille -- though I can think of two gorgeous men who do -- both of whom are only a short flight from London ...

You have to look at how Lee was using the word. He was being clever disguising the identity of his playmate.

Actually, for years I've thought of Mr. Shaw as the gay-porn equivalent of Sean Connery. He's getting older, but he's still sexy as hell.
