In conjunction with the launch of his site WorldOfMen.com, occasional amateur reporter Collin O'Neal gives us some pointers and tips for those of us looking for the gay travel experience outside Fire Island, Puerto Vallarta and San Francisco (along with pictures of the hot guys he's fucked along the way).

Collin O'Neal's Guide To Gay Sex Travel: Pt. 1: Syria, Israel and South Africa

Syria: In Syria, being gay is not easy. It’s not that you will get harassed, but you also cannot go flying down the street in your own gay pride parade. However, Syria does have gays and you can find them if you are patient and know where to go. I was introduced to “gay Syria” by finding guys online before going. You meet one gay and then you end up at a house party or at the public pool on the “right day” as when Francois Sagat and I went in Damascus. Another way to hook up is by heading to the Hammam around 6pm and just seeing who is looking a bit closely at you. Syria is much more than just a gay adventure though, Syria has much to offer for a sightseer such as the Umayyad Mosque, Palmyra (a lost desert trading pot), Qalat al Hassan (a medieval Crusader castle on a hill), and the mystical walled city of Haleb in the north…and that’s only a few of Syria’s hidden treasures, besides my model Jacko.

Israel: Right below Syria you have its nemesis Israel. Syria and Israel will one day be friends again once they solve the Golan Heights problem, but in the mean time if slow paced Syria doesn’t catch your eye, then go to the booming nightlife of Tel Aviv. You can find whatever you want openly in Tel Aviv’s nightclubs, but don’t forget your eye drops, Israelis love their cigarettes (and don’t tell them to put it out!) Besides being extremely liberal towards gays, hence Donna International, Israel is a wealth of ancient treasures, way too many to list here, but just wander to Jerusalem for an eye full. For the more adventurists try to poke down to Bethlehem in Palestinian territory or maybe go to Dimona and ask the locals what’s the big deal! South Africa: Have we all not dreamed of going to South Africa at some point, right? Hot blond guys frolicking on the beach in Cape Town or maybe hitting up Johannesburg’s hand full of nightclubs? For the gay traveler looking for sex is not a problem in the clubs in either Cape Town or Johannesburg or maybe hit the gym in Cape Town and find out who is watching you in the mirror. Take a break from the boys and go sightseeing though. From the Cape of Good Hope to Kruger National Park South Africa is all about natural beauty. On a budget but want to see animals in the wild? Rent a car from Johannesburg and drive to Kruger National Park. Just driving through it you will find almost every animal you dreamed about seeing in the wild on a budget! Drive slow though, you don’t want to kill any animals. And when you are done, go back and chill in Cape Town, maybe you will find a hot South African like my Forneus, smooth, blonde and muscled, just like the boys on Clifton 9 (google it!)
