From the headline I thought he was the friggin' Grand Marshal, but turns out he's just on a float. I was all set to be outraged, but this is now a nonissue, as Pride parades are supposed to be inclusive -- AND hot.

Every year David Forrest gets his models these gigs. They are paid gigs but more importantly it is an attempt to make them gay friendly and almost gay. Everyone can celebrate gay pride no matter what somone's orientation is. However, when pride parties pay straight performers to dance or be the Marshal of gay pride parades, it is an insult to every gay person. The model is only appearing for money and NOT to celebrate gay pride. However, I dont fault Forrest or Castle but the event organizer who looked past equally HOT gay peformers who would have done it for free. To make matters even WORSE, Castle is not GAY FOR PAY. He does not have sex with men. Houston is not known as a gay mecca, but let us begin the boycott NOW! I will never travel to Houston :)

I always tell any gay-for-pay models I work with that I don't care if they're gay or straight--as long as, for the next few hours, they make me BELIEVE they're gay.

And I don't have a problem with a straight guy appearing at a pride function. Lots of straight people show up at these events every year to support us (even though they are not doing so for financial reasons. The question is (and it may be a no-brainer), would Castle be there if he wasn't being paid to be there? And even then, is it a big deal? Part of the fun of these things is to check out the eye candy, and Mr. Castle has lollipops to spare.
