Gay Porn Stars: Down Under Edition
After spending last week in Sydney for Mardi Gras, I'm a little smitten with Aussie men. The sun damage makes them seem butcher and since you only hear half of what they say, it's harder to tell that they're talking like teenage girls. Like other smaller countries, their intensely proud of homegrown stars who've made it on to Hollywood -- Heath Ledger, Eric Bana, Russell Crowe, Mel Gibson -- well, not so much the last one these days, but you get the idea.
With porn, it's a little bit harder -- their mouths are too busy to talk and since Australia has some rather restrictive laws governing porn distribution, it doesn't have the same appeal as it does in the US. But that doesn't mean there's NO ONE. After all, Good as Gold, Hard Studies and Escape from Sydney, as well as older titles like Manly Beach, and Jackaroos were all filmed there. Below, a few off the better Aussie Men. Not surprisingly, there are some big surprises Down Under.

I know jet-lag from Oz is a bitch. But also have to point out that Jake Andrews and Brad Patton aren't Australian, though both appeared in GOOD AS GOLD. However, Joe Foster from that film is, I believe.

Who knew? As for HARD STUDIES, the post said it was filmed in Australia, which looked an awful lot like SF. And I did think GOOD AS GOLD played up a homecoming angle for Joe Foster, but it's been a while.

Brad Patton lives in Amsterdam, was raised in Sweden but was born in Austrailia to an Aussie mother. And Jake Andrews was born in the midwest but has lived in Austrailia for years. All things considered, the post isn't all that off. Oh and, as someone already posted, Hard Studies was shot in the U.S. but it focuses on an Australian exchange student played by Brian Hansen who was born in Australia but was raised in many places in Europe. Damn, I have no life.
