That does still happen, but there is the increasing phenomenon of the professional amateur who goes from site to site, sometimes changing their name. And with the sometimes stunning quality of the camera work, I think tbe only remaining distinction is that the websites usually present the action in something close to real time with minimal cutting and editing.
