Gay Porn Sneak Peak: Black Scorpion's Hunger
Rafael Alencar has long been one of our favorite stars, and not just for the thick ten-inch, the continental shelf of an ass or the almost-too-perfect pecs. Gay Porn Sneak Peek: Road Trip Vol. 1
The mere fact that of all the top gay porn studios Falcon would start producing amateur-type content is as good as proof as any that the gay porn landscape is changing very quickly. Technically Road Trip Vol. 1: Russian River isn't from Falcon (rather, their Jocks line), technically it's not amateur (they're touting it as "pro-am"), and technically this isn't the first time they've tried this (anyone remember Stud Pups?), but the point is that they're obviously sick of seeing amateur producers gobbling up their market share.
Road Trip, the first Jocks release since 2005, features almost all new 18-22-year-old models in unscripted, outdoorsy-like scenes. From the liner notes:
"No story. Just an RV cruisin’ around with studs brought together for pure in-your-face sex. The sexual chemistry is so hot and the tension so fierce."
Are they treading too deep into unfamiliar territory? Is this too little too late? Can a Jocks title, by definition, be amateur? I can't say since I haven't seen it yet, but I do remain excited by the prospect.

Paris When It Shizzles: Tiger Tyson's Gay Porn Tour

I had a college professor who used to say that one thing to look forward to about getting old is that you eventually sleep with everyone you ever had a crush on. Sadly this is turning out not to be the case, but one thing I am noticing is more and more of my lifetime crushes are showing up in porn (not that jerking off to someone is the same as fucking them, but, hey, I'll take what I can get).

Beast of Burden: Oh Man's Gay Porn Multiethnic Menagerie
Europe is gonna get a bad rap in porn. The thawing of the Eastern Bloc, coupled with the Bel Ami's late 90s success, paved the way for thousands of would-be twinks and made the porn filmed there as pale and uniform as the Euro. It's like there's nothing there but Slovaks! There are exceptions, of course -- Collin O'Neal and Michael Lucas have both shot in Moorish Spain, Tiger Tyson brought some needed color to the Eiffel Tower and homegrown productions from Citebeur feature gay Arab men tearing up more than just the banlieue.
Though I'll see a few Mediterreaneans in stateside productions, nobody's rimming that sea like director Jean-Marc Prouveur from Oh Man! Productions. I fell in love with Confessions and Legionnaires a few years ago, due in large part to the uncut Forget Noah's Arc -- in his latest, the perhaps appropriately named Beast -- he's got Irish, French, Italian and Morroccan men two by two and three by three. They may not be pretty, but I bet they can cook! (Even in tights...)

2007 Folsom Street Photo Round Up
A massive hangover courtesy of the Raging Stallion party (where Steve Cruz and Roman Ragazzi were named co-Men Of The Year) prevented me from attending the actual Folsom Street Fair this year, but had I known Barrett Long and Pierre Fitch were in attendance (proof of Folsom's widening influence), i might have actually made it out.
If any of you have ever been to Folsom, you know that for every half-naked leather daddy walking around, there are, like, ten photographers swarming around him ... very convenient for when I need to phone it in...
