Playgirl Killer Apprehended, Hates Gays

Marcus Allen/Timothy Boham was arrested on suspicion of murder while trying to flee to Mexico earlier today (in an ending that eerily echos that of Wash West's porn fiction feature The Fluffer.)

The picture of Boham that emerges in the wake of his arrest suggests a deeply troubled man who was struggling with his sexuality -- and temper.

Although he was a fairly well-known porn star (he starred in over a dozen movies over the past few years, and was named "Freshman of the Year" by Freshman Magazine in 2003), he was a gun-collecting, homophobic straight man when away from the gay porn spotlight. Denver Post reports:

... Boham told Lara Holland, who lived in a Denver mansion on High Street in an apartment a floor below Boham, that he "sanitized" his apartment by thoroughly scrubbing it because a gay man had lived there previously, she said.

"He hated (gays)," she said. "He hated their lifestyle."

Although the nature of their relationship remains unclear, Rocky Mountain News is reporting that the "generous to a fault" John "JP" Kelso (the man he's suspected to have murdered) wanted to give Boham a "new start" by hiring him and training him to be a debt collector just a few weeks ago. He stopped showing up to work after a few days. That Kelso was openly gay makes one wonder if maybe this was a hate crime.

I got a different story from Cory Koons who bottomed for by Allen in Rascal's "Never Been Touched" in 2005. He recalls no odd or uncomfortable behavior on Allen's part, saying he was, in fact, quite nice to him on the set. Koons was told by the casting director of the movie that Allen specifically requested to work with him because he's Asian, and he "had a thing for Asian women."

When I talked to him earlier today, Koons (seen left, fellating Allen) added, "I was even told to shave my goatee off because he didn't like facial hair. During some downtime on the set, he showed me pictures of his two daughters. I remember remarking, jokingly, that they were half-Japanese -- like me."

Speculating on his sexuality, Koons remembered (somewhat fondly) "Allen did let me let him suck his dick -- which was quite nice -- when the cameras weren't rolling. Marcus Allen: Murder Suspect

Gay-for-pay porn star Marcus Allen -- (who appeared in Through The Woods, among others) is the primary suspect in the murder case of John P. Kelso, his boss and president of a Denver financial company.

Rocky Mountain News is reporting that Allen (real name Timothy J. Bohan, aged 25,) is considered armed and dangerous and may have fled the state (but no mention of his gay porn past ... yet).

Are you dating anyone currently?

But these days I don't care I just want to do something and whatever I do I want to have fun. I want to be known. I want to look back at my life and have clear distinctions -- porn star, modeling, directing (different kinds of film), I think I could make it as an indy actor. I don't think I'll make it as a mainstream, but never say never. I have some talent and if you nurture it, it can grow. I'm more into indy stuff because i'm fixated on real.

What kind of music are you into?
I'm into indie music, like Rilo Kiley. Because i'm not spending time with kids my age I'm not into hip hop or pop. I spend time doing research and on iTunes. Sometimes I find old music from the 90s and really like it. [Ed. note: Kill me now.] I like Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks because she's a strong woman and that's not too common in society and you have to like it. I like Band of Horses, Rogue Wave. Who are your role models?
I wish I had more of them in my life. Growing up, I lacked any. I never had a clear positive role model and maybe that's aided how I got into adult. There's some people who I admire for who they are: Bill Clinton: he did a lot for us as homosexuals. Maybe not a lot but he didn't push us further in the closet like our current president. I admire all those out actors out there who work in the business but live their lives openly about their sexuality. There's so much homosexuality in mainstream media and It's the worst thing, a shame. it goes to show you how fake everything is. Reality is a big thing to me.

Where do you see your career going?
I don't want to put my foot in my mouth, and I never want to say never, but if I had my way, I'd be good at producing so that I wouldn't have to be in front of the camera. I'm interesting in directing. Not just adult film. I don't want to model forever. Maybe two more years max, and I don't want to be in the "twink" niche forever. I can reinvent myself.

I already have my own production studio. We're brand new: LSG Media. We have designs on setting up "Real Boys Online." We're not calling it "pro-am," we're caling it amateur. I don't have any intentions of doing any full movies. I think the priority is to get to the meat of what your'e doing -- good adult scenes, before you get aritsitc. When it's all said and done it's all porn and that's what you're watching. I want to get it down, get good at it before I complicate things with artsy productions and storylines and locations. How the fuck does someone your age stay so motivated?
It's hard for people to understand, but the top reason why I continue is because I have my own production studio. I was 16 years old, and it was just before I moved to Southern California. I only got into it because my boyfriend at the time was doing it and I needed the money. At first, the reviews were bad, but they challenged me to do a better job.

So a pushy boyfriend made you take the plunge?
Family had something to do with it. My family was dysfunctional, and when I moved to SoCal with my mom, she was distracted. My father had problems in his life and I pretty much fell off the Richter scale of their lives. My dad wasn't there day-to-day and my mother couldn't direct her own life. So Jake (the boyfriend) came along and he was nothing but a bad influence. He immersed me in a lifestyle that heralded the adult industry. And this was amateur! My reasons for continuing are different. I can see the response I get from people -- I'd be a fool to walk away from the attention. We need to find a niche, even if it changes. Velvet Mafia: The "Lost" Photos

Cleaning off my hard drive, I found these photos I took from the set of Velvet Mafia this past May that I completely forgot about. Oops. Better late than never, right?
