Gay Porn Military Scandal Heats Up
Admittedly, we've been lax in reporting on the on-going government investigation and legal brouhaha surrounding the soldiers of the 82nd Airborne who appeared in Dink Flamingo's Active Duty productions since the story broke in January in part because it's so baffling.
Since the investigation started, seven enlisted paratroopers have been charged and two have pleaded guilty to sodomy and drug-related charges, each facing up to three months of jail time. While that's sort of fucked up to being with, it just gets more twisted ...
In the most-recent issue of gay-vague bible, Details, Brit scribe Mark Simpson (who incidentally claims to have invented the term "metrosexual") chronicles his account from two years ago when he was reporting on the set of a Dink Flamingo production and actually was goaded by Dink to join in and have a threeway with two Marines ("Show us your uncut English cock!"). Fleshbot reports that the scene ended up on Active Duty's "Call of Duty".
The piece, while sadly lacking in any scintillating pictures, is a good read as he tries to answer some of the probing questions that have been bugging me since I first saw a Dirk Yates movie. Like: "How the fuck do you get two Jarheads to fuck on camera?" (by appealing to their vanity, apparently) and "What kind of person is Dink like?" (queer as a three-dollar bill, in his early thirties, and filthy rich). Brouhaha notwithstanding, Dink's movies remain pretty incredible as objects in-and-of themselves within the pantheon of amateur military gay porn. Despite being so glaringly amateurish and blatantly abject, they're a sight to behold. To date, he's he only person who's ever been able to get Cole (!!!) (seen below) on camera. He did some scenes with Mark Kraynak nee "Rex", (who later went on to die in infamy in a Montreal quarry). To boot, he was the first to nab a stub-rub from Falcon Exclusive Brock Penn (as well as the first to take countless men of war way out of their comfort zone with their barracks buds).

What is there to be ashamed of? He has free will and he made his choice. Who did he really harm by being in videos?
