Gay Pride 2005 Day 1: Porn Stars, Chi Chi, and Indy Film
This weekend in San Francisco was a pretty tough one for me. Aside from my mixed feelings about the event as a whole, with Gay Pride going on and there being several films debuting in the SF International LGBT Film festival that I couldn't miss, it was also my birthday. It was hard enough to juggle cabbing to all these events amid SF's tourist-soaked, gridlocked streets, let alone to remember to bring my camera to snap all the gay porn luminaries in town. But I tried my damnedest as it were and here are the pictures to prove it, starting with Friday ...
Mike and I kicked off the weekend Friday night at the second-annual Colt/Bel Ami Boys 2 Men fundraiser benefit for the Stop Aids Project. Representing Colt was Italian stallion Carlo Masi and uber-hunk Chris Wide, along with two new exclusive Colt Men, Luke Garrett and Gage Weston.
For the Bel Ami boy side of things, Tommy Hansen and Julian Armanis (my two favorites of the newest crop of Ami boys, seen here, with a female fan) were on hand along with Yves Carradine were on hand to mingle with the porn hoi polloi.
A faux-hawked Johan Paulik was also on hand filming, as was Club Channel1's handsome Rob Reimer.
Chi Chi was consorting with the millieau, too, seen here being bashful with Falcon's favorite son Matthew Rush.
The bling-adorned queen of porn was wearing earrings that spelled out "Chi Chi". Tres CHIc.
Elsewhere at the gala, Falcon Exclusive Dean Monroe was seen canoodling with dreamboat Filippo Romano (I exaggerate slightly -- maybe they were just talking).
Meanwhile across town at the Castro Theater was the premier of the much-anticipated Trannyshack documentary, which unfortunately I missed. Chi Chi whisked me, Mike, the lovely Violet Blue, Heklina and Squeaky Blonde to the t-shack afterparty in her limo (seriously), where we ran into Michael Soldier, who had much to celebrate. He stole the movie with his brilliantly executed funny-yet-poignant commentary. He's seen here puckering up for Gay.com's Lisa Bang's probing Polaroid. ... And that was just Friday. I'll be posting pics from the rest of the weekend shortly, but for now I must catch up on my sleep.

Dude. I had no idea. Happy (belated) birthday. My birthday is 6/16, so it often intersects with Father's Day, but I guess that's not quite the same as it being on"Who's Your Daddy?" day...
