Boy Dumps Boy

Remember that little show last summer on Bravo, "Boy Meets Boy"? I admit I was glued to the set for that whole embarrassing mess, but I loved every minute of it. There was behind-the-scenes drama of the star, James, getting pissed off at the producers for throwing him a curve by included straight guys. Afterward, he talked about it on a different show that exposed how reality shows are created.

But that wasn't the only controversy. There were rumors after the show ended that James and the winner, Wes, went through the motions to win the prize money, then went their separate ways. Well, I just got an email promoting a gay cruise that says, Join celebrity hosts Robb McArthur and Brian Hay from Bravo's hit series 'Boy Meets Boy' for this unique and rare weekend cruise experience! Looks like two of the runners-up were the real winners, cause he hooked up with each other instead of James. Confused? So am I.

Okay, in this pre-Valentine week, I'm going to hit you with my Carrie Bradshaw "Sex In The City" style rhetorical questions.

Why is it so difficult to find a good man, and why is it always such an icky mess even if you do? Even with a little bit of outside help, why is it that dating is such a disaster?

Is dating reserved for only the young and cute? Is there (dating) life after 40, or do you have to pay for it? Can love exist past a 34" waist? Why can't hooking up be as easy as they show in porn videos? Will all these questions be answered before Valentine's Day, or at least by the last episode?
