On Saturday May 8th, from 1pm to 6pm, the party will once again take center stage at the historic Cree Estate (aka "Wally World") in Palm Springs/Cathedral City (located at 67698 Carey Road, Cathedral City, 92234) for an afternoon of fun, frolic and fundraising for one of the country’s oldest AIDS service organizations.

Founded in 1983, L.A. Shanti was the first non-profit organization in Southern California to provide direct services to diverse communities affected by HIV/AIDS. L.A. Shanti’s focus is to empower those living with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses to have the fullest lives possible and to provide prevention education in the face of the spread of this epidemic. All of L.A. Shanti’s services, from its cutting-edge HIV prevention programs for youth to the highly acclaimed PLUS (Positive Living for US) empowerment weekend seminars are based on the Shanti Model of compassionate presence, active listening, and a non-judgmental attitude. Efficient operation and assistance from over 600 volunteers enables L.A. Shanti to provide services at twice the value of every contributed dollar.
