Got this email from a fan named Robert commenting on my earlier post about studly gay-for-pay Mark Dalton:

I enjoy reading from your website.  You mentioned that Mark Dalton is "gay for pay".....how (exactly) do you know this for sure?  Everytime the question is asked, Mark will either say well, some people want me to be gay and some people want me to be straight, or he will say, well, my straight friends think I'm gay, and my gay friends think I'm straight.
 
Do you know why he's afraid to say he's "straight"?  He wouldn't be the first one to do so?

Thanks for writing, Robert, but to quote Dan Akroyd, "Jane, you ignorant slut."

That lame game of porn stars being evasive about their sexuality is pointless and retro 70's. There was a time when Elton John used the same tactics, for god's sake. Pul-leese, who does he think he's fooling? (Oops, I guess he fooled our friend Robert...) Ryan Idol, Jeff Stryker, Billy Herrington, Ken Ryker and others have taken the same stance and, by now, is there any question that they prefer women?

It's all about market share. Yes, there is a certain percentage of gay men that have a fetish for straight men, but that's a small segment compared to the total number of GAY men that prefer other GAY men. Gay-for-pay porn stars would rather side-step the issue than lose that important m4m market of porn-buyers.

I hate it when cute guys (gay or otherwise) flirt with me with NO intention of following through. Hate it. There are laws against bait-and-switch in advertising, and Miss MANners frowns on it, too.

Put out or shut up.
