The event is set for Friday, May 23 at Circuit on North Halsted, and is being held alongside a weekendful of porn events coinciding with the Gay Chicago Grabby Awards and the International Mr. Leather convention.

To heighten the drama, Inside Porn Magazine publisher Drew Warner and Editor J.C. Adams are keeping the identity of the recipient a secret until the night of the event, when the trophy will be presented live. "Not even the model knows he's getting this award," says Warner. "It's taken a lot of work to keep this a secret and to make sure he's going to be there!" According to Adams, the recipient is being awarded for his video appearances, "as well as for his charity work and for serving as a kind of 'goodwill ambassador' for the gay porn community. He's a great guy and absolutely deserves the honor."

Although the identity of the Inside Porn Magazine Performer of the Year is being kept under wraps, Warner offers one clue: "He's one of the Pornopolooza featured performers!"

Among the dozens of porn personalities scheduled to attend Pornopolooza 5 are: Jason Branch, Chad Hunt, Cornfed Boyz Matt Faulker & Nate Bater, Damian Ford, Chris Green, Patrick Knight, Michael Lucas, Carlos Morales, Falcon Lifetime Exclusive Matthew Rush, Jacob Scott, Jack Simmons and Bret Wolfe.
